Baoji, formerly known as Chencang and Yongcheng, is known as "the hometown of Emperor Yan and the hometown of bronzes". It is an important node city of Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration and a sub-central city of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone. Baoji has a long history. It is the seat of Baoxue (the study of Baoji), which has a history of more than 2700 years.
