Hai Wa, who is resourceful and fearless in the movie Chicken Hair Letter, is also one of the protagonists in Chasing Bandits in the Desert. It turns out that the prototype of this little hero is actually my uncle-Qin Yugen.

I work in Changzhi North Station, Shanxi. At the beginning of September today, I was lucky enough to go to Guangzhou on business and made a special trip to my aunt's house in Zhongshan. I saw my uncle's portrait as soon as I entered the door. Although I saw him once when I was a child, I still remember his height of 1.85 meters. Father said, my uncle is a southern cadre and participated in the liberation war. After the national liberation, he was assigned to work in the south and knew nothing else. After I joined the work, my uncle would give me a lesson every time he wrote, teaching me to listen to the party, study hard, work hard and so on. The phone also encouraged me earnestly, so my uncle is a very respectable old man in my mind. But I regret not seeing his old man again all my life. At my aunt's house, I saw the memoirs written by Li, an old superior in the same army as my uncle. He was the former deputy commander of the garrison. From that article, I learned that my uncle is the prototype of Hai Wa, the protagonist in the movie Chicken Hair Letter, and also one of the prototypes of the protagonist in the movie Chasing Bandits in the Desert. In the two-and-a-half-year war of liberation he participated in, one person captured 100 prisoners. He is Qin Yugen, who once captured heroes in the famous reconnaissance of the whole army.

My uncle Qin Yugen, 1928, is from Yuanping County, Shanxi Province. 1947 became a scout of the third column of the Northwest Field Army. Participated in the War of Liberation, Xinjiang Bandit Suppression and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. He has won seven military exploits and won the third-class hero medal of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. He is a famous reconnaissance and capture hero of the whole army. In the early spring of 2004, the 76-year-old uncle died of illness in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. In his last words, he said that he would leave his body to do medical scientific research.
