Poetics of Xugong Store in Su Xincheng

The poetry of this poem shows the poet's love for pastoral feelings by describing the beautiful scenery of the countryside and the scenes of children playing in late spring, and expresses the author's leisurely mood although he is in a foreign country.

Xu Gongdian in Xincheng is a group of poems written by Yang Wanli, a poet in Song Dynasty. There are two poems. The original text is as follows:

Spring is at the end of willow, and long strips are inserted into restaurants. Then watch it as a cold food at home, and the songs and dances in the village are more romantic.

The fence is sparse, a path leads to the distance, and the petals on the tree fall, but the shade has not yet formed. The child ran quickly to catch the yellow butterfly, but the butterfly suddenly flew into the vegetable garden and could not be found again.

In the vernacular, it means that spring has just arrived and you can only watch it at willow tips. Someone picked some wicker and folded it down and put it in the dining room. Although I am abroad now, I have the right to spend the Cold Food Festival at home. It's really chic and romantic to watch the village community sing and dance.

The fence is sparse, a path leads to the distance, the petals on the tree are falling, but the shade has not yet formed. The child ran after the yellow butterfly quickly, but the butterfly suddenly flew into the cauliflower and could not be found again.

Extended data

The first poem of the group "Xugongdian in Xincheng" describes the spring scenery and wicker in restaurants, as well as the country songs and dances in Tomb-Sweeping Day. The first two paragraphs indicate the season and place, write willow tips first, and then write restaurants. By observing the local customs, the last two sentences imply that you are in a foreign country, but say "just eat cold food at home", which shows that you don't have the melancholy of living in a foreign country, and are interested in "country singing and dancing is more romantic", showing a natural and leisurely state of mind.

The second group of poems describes the early spring scenery in rural areas, and the poet describes the scenery and characters in one, which has a unique interest and is widely circulated. The first sentence is a static description of pure scenery. Fences and paths point out that this is a rural area, and the "hedge waterfall" has a width. Using "sparse" to point out its state, it is obvious that there is a gap between the two, so that you can see the mountain road outside the fence.

"One path deep" means that there is only one mountain road, and it is very long and extends into the distance. The wide hedge waterfalls and narrow paths set each other off, and the long hedges set each other off, highlighting the freshness and tranquility of the countryside.

The second sentence is also a static description of pure scenery. On the roadside, the peach blossoms and plum blossoms on the branches have fallen, but the leaves have not grown very thick, showing the natural and simple style of the countryside.

The third sentence is the dynamic description of characters. The combination of "catching up" and "chasing" makes the excitement and joy of children clapping their hands and stumbling after butterflies vivid, which reflects their innocence and liveliness.

The fourth sentence, cauliflower is yellow and lush. A small butterfly flies into this yellow ocean, and naturally it is nowhere to be found. Readers can imagine that children are looking around at this time, anxious about finding everywhere, disappointed about not finding it, and so on. It shows the innocence and childishness of children.

This poem reflects the vitality of all things by describing the scenery at the turn of the four seasons in late spring and early summer. The scenery absorbed by the whole poem is extremely dull, and the activities of the characters depicted are also extremely ordinary. However, due to the combination of scenery and characters, and the alternate brushwork, it successfully depicts the quiet, natural, quiet and fresh early spring scenery in the countryside.
