One night, Julian (Mike Vogel Mike Vogel) who is taking a bath suddenly receives a phone call from his good friend Terry (Daniel Pino Daniel Pino). Terry on the other end of the phone angrily calls his fiancee Joan (Brittany Murphy Brittany Murphy) unfaithful to herself. Terry followed Joan to a shabby "river view" hotel and witnessed her walk into room 57 with a private man. The manic Terry told Julian that he was waiting for him in Room 58, opposite the hotel lobby, and that he had brought his revolver and was ready to carry out his revenge plan.
