On March 8th, COVID-19-positive cases 18 were added in Shanghai, including 3 confirmed cases and 5 asymptomatic infection cases 15.

According to the official news released by Shanghai, at the press conference on epidemic prevention and control in the whole city held this afternoon (March 8), the Municipal Health and Wellness Committee informed:

Today (March 8th), there were 3 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 15 asymptomatic local infected people.

City and district emergency teams for epidemic prevention and control continue to carry out epidemiological investigation, investigation of relevant personnel, sampling and detection, prevention and control management, and implement relevant epidemic prevention measures such as disinfection of relevant places and environments.

The above-mentioned 18 people were all under centralized isolation control except 1 person who received treatment due to symptoms. All of them have been transferred to Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center for isolation treatment or closed-loop medical observation, and the situation is stable at present.
