Go into Qingmuchuan and look for "A Generation of Lean Men" written by Ye Guangqin.

On Sunday, Phoenix TV interviewed the writer Ye Guangqin exclusively, which reminded me of the scene when we met many years ago. At that time, she was the editor of Shaanxi Workers' Daily and gave me some writing guidance and help. I deeply admire her experience. Later, I learned that she was watching the TV series "A Generation of Heroes" based on her novel "Qingmuchuan". While sorting out the manuscript, I actually found a letter she wrote to me for revision. To this end, I made a special trip to an ancient town called Qingmuchuan.

Qingmuchuan is located in the northwest corner of Hanzhong ningqiang county in the south of Shaanxi, at the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu and Sichuan provinces, bordering Qingchuan County in Sichuan Province in the west and Wudu County and Kangxian County in Gansu Province in the north. Known as "one foot in three provinces", it is the westernmost ancient town in Shaanxi Province.

This ancient town has a long history. It was built in Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty. This used to be a mixed area of Qiang and Han. In the Ming Dynasty, it was called Caochangba, and later Huilongguan was built, so it was renamed Huilongchang. During the Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty, it was called Yongning Li; In the Republic of China, it was called Fenghuang Township; In the early days of liberation, it was called Qingmuchuan.

With the popularity of the TV series "A Generation of Heroes", many people are looking for the "Leifeng Town" in Shaanxi, which is actually the ancient town of Qingmuchuan. A large number of tourists poured into this once remote and quiet ancient town of Qingmuchuan, which is now a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

He is a real person, and the historical prototype figure is Wei. During the Republic of China, political chaos and bandits were rampant, which made the government unable to rule because of its vast territory and sparse population. In troubled times, Wei, a local figure who did nothing but do his own business, was brave and diligent. Wei took advantage of the village to extort money, build armed forces, rule by himself, and monopolize state affairs.

Wei is a poor farmer and has three brothers, ranking the third. By killing the militia leader at that time, he gained local power, planted poppies and bought guns. He has thousands of armed men and hundreds of guns, and is connected with local armed leaders on the border of Sichuan and Shaanxi, forming a powerful armed group. * * * lives in a corner of western Ningxia, establishing a special situation of the ruling party. For more than 20 years, it has become a powerful local armed force along the Shaanxi-Gansu-Sichuan border.

He attached great importance to culture and founded a middle school. Furen Middle School, located on the hillside, is an example. Before liberation, Qingmuchuan was very prosperous, with foreign companies, shops, restaurants, teahouses and hotels. These cultural relics can be seen everywhere in ancient streets, all of which are Wei's achievements. After a hundred years of vicissitudes, there are a large number of well-preserved historical sites with different styles, such as ancient streets, ancient temples, ancient plank roads and ancient buildings. There are ancestral halls of Qu, Wei, Zhao and Tu in Ming and Qing Dynasties in the town, and there are carved stone tablets, which are preserved to 70%. Wei's two courtyards have a 7-meter-long bluestone corridor. The pattern of the front porch and the back house, as well as the finely carved window lattice, all show the style of Wei at that time.

I went to Qingmuchuan to learn about the ancient town written by the writer Ye Guangqin and express my respect for the author. I've been writing intermittently for decades, but I don't feel lost. I just comforted myself with words and walked into Qingmuchuan. To my honor, I was guided by the author and met the writer Ye Guangqin once.
