Minhang No.4 Middle School set up a baseball team from 1998. Over the years, with the care and support of the leaders of Minhang District Education Bureau and Sports Bureau, and with the guidance and help of senior baseball coaches, baseball and softball in our school has grown from scratch and has now become a characteristic sport in our school. In September, 2002, Minhang No.4 Middle School completed the standardized construction project of primary and secondary schools, and built a new playground covering an area of 35 mu, which created more favorable conditions for improving the development level of baseball and softball in our school.

At the beginning of 2000, Minhang No.4 Middle School baseball team participated in the Shanghai Youth Baseball Invitational Tournament and won the first championship. Preparations for the Shanghai Panda Baseball and Softball Club are under way, and both the District Education Bureau and the Sports Bureau have approved it.

The five schools of the club set up special classes, conducted professional training under the guidance of the club's coaching staff, and formed two baseball teams, the middle school department and the primary school department, to cultivate a high-level baseball team that can achieve excellent results in domestic and international competitions.
