Highlights of exhibition hall

1. Architectural appearance: The inspiration of UAE Pavilion comes from its unique and majestic natural landscape-the legendary steep sand dunes. The magnificent structure and recyclable building materials complement each other with nature.

A week or so, I found that it was inspired by the ever-changing shape of sand dunes. The appearance is so lifelike that the characteristics of sand dunes can be clearly recognized from any angle.

Its "slope" is as high as 20 meters, and the breeze blows. Do you feel the sand flowing? I touched it with my hand and found it was "magic". The stainless steel panel on its surface presents changeable colors, and when viewed from different angles, it presents different colors, thus imitating the light sense of flowing sand dunes.

In order to reflect the realistic effect, the exterior of the exhibition hall also imitated the characteristics of sand dunes created by the wind direction. The windward side deflects the wind in Shanghai and protects the translucent leeward side from strong winds and scorching sun. The exhibition hall has realized the function of natural sand dunes, and achieved the most environmentally sustainable design in the form of sand dunes.

2. Exhibition content: Step into the "sand dune", located in the stream leading to the entrance, and you will immediately feel a coolness. This is a gift from the designer to every guest.

Have you begun to understand the courage of UAE people to create life in the desert? They learned from their ancestors how to shade, how to escape the heat, how to adapt to the environment and fight against the harsh natural environment.

Later, flower beds and trees were everywhere along the way, and a different kind of scenery appeared dreamily. At the same time, famous sayings are constantly printed in my mind: "The United Arab Emirates is first and foremost a place with a fresh heart." "? People are the core of this beautiful city. ”? "Without people and their ideals, the city will become an empty shell." "A better city is built on the basis of citizens' dreams and generosity." When you wake up in the morning, take PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) to work, enter the office, turn on the air conditioner that uses photovoltaic solar energy to generate electricity, taste vegetable salads planted and processed with reclaimed water at noon, and return home at night with bath water generated by solar desalination and separation system.

These are not daydreams. Everything will come true in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, a "zero-carbon city" that is being built intensively. If you want to see the world's first "zero-carbon city", you can take a sneak peek at the UAE Pavilion.

You will find that cities in the United Arab Emirates are full of sunshine, and the use of solar energy will be the "lifeline". In "zero-carbon cities", solar energy will be everywhere. After the solar-powered seawater desalination system, thousands of tons of fresh water will be sent to thousands of households. Will fully intelligent driverless electric vehicles provide on-site service for urban residents? Here, the picture of daily life in the United Arab Emirates is displayed in front of your eyes, and proverbs and warnings about energy conservation and environmental protection can be seen everywhere. Experiencing all this personally, people and UAE people are expecting a "green picture".

The United Arab Emirates is one of the largest desert countries in the world. The UAE Pavilion was inspired by its unique and majestic natural landscape-the legendary steep sand dunes. The magnificent structure and recyclable building materials complement each other with nature. The UAE Pavilion will show visitors the theme of Expo 20 10 "Better City, Better Life". It is reported that this pavilion named "Dune" will be a truly recyclable Expo pavilion. After the Shanghai World Expo, the pavilion will be demolished and transported back to the UAE, where it will be rebuilt as the cultural center of the UAE.

"Magic" and "dream" are the best tricks of the UAE, and such undulating buildings are the "sand dunes" of the UAE National Pavilion. When the whole exhibition hall appeared in front of visitors, people's attention was attracted by its soft and radiant appearance, which made people think.

Crossing the vast desert and connecting with the coast is the most remarkable experience of the UAE. Many years ago, cities in the United Arab Emirates miraculously rose on the beach. In 20 10, a magical sand was restored in the city. What a unique experience this will be! The United Arab Emirates brought "Dune" to China, trying to use this memorable landscape as an interesting place to tell their stories.

The United Arab Emirates, which relies on natural energy and is rich, knows that energy will always run out. Therefore, the UAE pays special attention to environmental protection while its energy industry is developed and its cities are developing rapidly. The UAE is also looking forward to telling the story of energy utilization in its own unique way at the Shanghai World Expo, so that this beautiful country will leave a deep impression on people all over the world.

The UAE Pavilion, which imitates sand dunes, fluctuates constantly, and the breeze blows, as if the sand is still moving. However, the interior of the exhibition hall presents another style. The clear streams, cool Woods and luxurious buildings with audio-visual technology display seem to make people forget that this is a country in the desert. ?

Desert VS oasis?

In the hot and water-deficient United Arab Emirates, it has the most beautiful public gardens in the world. Desert and oasis form a unique landscape, and now this style has been brought to Shanghai. ...

The United Arab Emirates Pavilion, with a slope of 20 meters, imitates the real sand dunes and presents rough and smooth texture due to the wind direction. Under the sunlight, the stainless steel panel changes with the unique roses and heat waves in the desert.

Stepping into the exhibition hall from the hot "sand dunes", a cool feeling came to my face. Streams, flower beds, trees and other different scenery are dreamlike, resting in the shade, walking by the stream, and enjoying such comfort with UAE people in audio-visual interaction.

The general representative of the UAE government said: "We learned from our parents how to shade the sun, how to escape the heat, how to adapt to the environment and fight against the harsh natural environment." This desert oasis explains the concept of "Better City, Better Life".

Traditional VS modern?

The primitive tropical desert and modern skyscrapers are only a stone's throw away. The desert is in the left hand and the tall building is in the right hand. Sand dunes link this incredible land, and they also inherit ancient traditions and customs until today, and gradually merge in distant Shanghai. ...

The three intertwined "sand dunes" of the United Arab Emirates Pavilion represent the ancient, modern and future. They seem to be separated, but in fact they are intertwined with gravel.

Visitors can see the modern UAE created by audio-visual technology in the modern exhibition hall. It has the rapid development of urban environment, architecture and scenery, as well as colorful fashion culture that attracts the world's attention. However, these modern cultures only enrich the traditions of the UAE, but they cannot shake the cultural foundation of thousands of years.

Along the corridor just visited, the ancient United Arab Emirates slowly unfolds in front of tourists. College student volunteers in the United Arab Emirates wear traditional costumes to say hello to tourists, as if camel bells from ancient times echoed in their ears. Traditional customs and religions are still an important part of ancient exhibition halls.

Luxury VS environmental protection?

Burj Khalifa Hotel, Dubai World Trade Center and Palm Island, these luxurious buildings come from the United Arab Emirates; The first "zero carbon, zero waste" city also came from the United Arab Emirates. Luxury and environmental protection, perfect integration in Shanghai World Expo Park. ...

The UAE Pavilion, built by the design company "Carbon-free City", will also adhere to their environmental protection concept and show the "sustainable development" that UAE people are proud of in Shanghai.

The United Arab Emirates, which relies on natural energy and is rich, knows that energy will always run out. Therefore, the UAE pays special attention to environmental protection while its energy industry is developed and its cities are developing rapidly. The magnificent architecture and illusory rose color make the UAE Pavilion look extremely luxurious. However, the materials it uses are recyclable and environmentally friendly building materials. After the Shanghai World Expo, this "Dune" exhibition hall will be transported back to the United Arab Emirates, where it will be rebuilt and become a cultural center.
