Jianshan Park in Nantong Langshan Scenic Area is temporarily closed due to construction

Langshan Mountain is a very famous scenic spot in Nantong with beautiful scenery. It is the first of the eight famous mountains in my country. The incense in Langshan Temple is strong all year round. In December this year, the Jianshu Wenshu Courtyard in the scenic spot will be temporarily closed for a month. See below for details.

1. Scenic Area Closure Notice

Due to the maintenance and construction needs of Jianshu Wenshu Hospital, Jianshan Scenic Area will be closed for one month from December 1 to December 31. Sorry for the inconvenience! Langshan Forest Park tourist annual passes can be exchanged and processed normally.

2. Jianshan

Jianshan is the third mountain of Langya Mountain, 87.33 meters high. The other four mountains are vertical, and only Jianshan is horizontal. Because the mountain is shaped like a sword with its scabbard laid horizontally, it is said that Emperor Qin Shihuang once tried his sword on this mountain, hence the name Jianshan. In 1926, Zhang Jian, the number one scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, funded the restoration of Jianshan Temple, which was collectively known as the Wenshu Research Institute. After that, after several storms, most of the temple buildings were demolished. In 1984, the remaining 14 temples on the top of the mountain were taken back by the Municipal Buddhist Association.

Jianshan is the monastery of Manjusri Bodhisattva in Nantong. Manjushri Bodhisattva is the embodiment of wisdom and knowledge, also known as 'Great Wisdom Manjushri'. He is the left attendant of Buddha Sakyamuni. Worshiping Manjushri Bodhisattva has become the psychological sustenance for today's students to pray for success in exams. Since the reconstruction of Wenshu College in 2000, many students and their parents who are approaching the college entrance examination come to burn incense and make wishes every year to get a good mood. Today's Wenshu College is not limited to before and after the college entrance examination, but is full of incense all year round.

_Mountain Tourist Distribution Center provides services such as ticket booking, group reception, transportation, and product display. Tourists can take a sightseeing battery car from the distribution center to visit Wushan and the areas along the Yangtze River. There are two routes to choose from from the distribution center to Binjiang and from _shan scenic area to Binjiang.

4. Introduction to Langshan Scenic Area

Langshan is one of the famous scenic spots in Nantong, adjacent to the Yangtze River. The mountains are lush with trees and have many historical sites. The main attractions include Guangjiao Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, the Tomb of King Robin, Sanxian Temple, Zhiyun Tower, etc. When you climb to the top of the mountain, you can overlook the Yangtze River and the scenery is excellent. Langshan is a famous Buddhist mountain in China. There are many Buddhist buildings on the mountain and it is a place for worshiping Buddha and praying for blessings.

The main entrance of _Shanshan Scenic Area is located on Chengshan Road in the east of the city. There is a cableway up the mountain, but it is not recommended to take it because the scenic area is not big and not high. It takes about two hours to walk up the mountain. Along Langshan Road, there are the tombs of many historical celebrities, such as the tomb of Robin, the famous poet of the Tang Dynasty, and so on. Going further, there is Guangjiao Temple, which enshrines the Great Trend Buddha statue with 16 Buddha statues on both sides.

The Grand Viewpoint on the mountain is now a better scenic spot, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Yangtze River with a broad view. In addition, the _ Mountain Scenic Area is adjacent to the Nantong Horticulture Expo Park in the west. You can go to _ Mountain after shopping. There are Ma'anshan, Huangni, Jianshan and Junshan around Mt. Li, which together with Mt. Mt. are known as the "Five Sacred Mountains" and are also worth a visit.
