The terrain is gentle, and it is a plain area in northern Henan. But the Taihang pulse extends all the way to the county seat.

There is a Yellow River levee in the middle of the territory, which divides the whole city into two parts: the east and the west. Huanglin region belongs to the natural Yan Wen Canal system, with high terrain in the southeast and low terrain in the northwest, and inclines from southeast to northwest. The Yellow River basin to the west of the levee belongs to the Di Chin River system. The terrain is relatively flat, with gentle slopes in some areas.
