The Palm Islands (English: The Palm islands) are three large artificial islands located in Dubai, namely Jumeirah, Jebel Ali, and Deira. They are currently being constructed by the Dutch company Nakheel and are expected to require 80 million cubic meters of earth and stone construction. Each island is in the shape of a palm tree and is surrounded by a crescent. Residential areas and resort areas are set up on the islands. This plan is because the continental shelf off the coast of Dubai is vast and the water depth of the Persian Gulf is quite shallow, which makes it possible to carry out such a large-scale reclamation project.

1 The construction of Palm Jumeirah started in June 2001 and was completed from the end of 2005 to the beginning of 2006. Three five-star themed hotels are planned to be built on Palm Jumeirah, modeled on the landscapes of Okinawa, Brazil and Venice, and will be built on Crescent Island. In early October 2007, Palm Jumeirah became the largest artificial island in the world. At the same time, 500 families have moved to the island. On November 20, 2008, Atlantis, the world's most luxurious hotel located on the island with a cost of approximately US$1.5 billion, officially opened. It is expected that 28 hotels will be opened in Crescent Island by the end of 2009.

2 Construction of Palm Jebel Ali started in October 2002 and is expected to be completed in mid-2008. The "leaf ends" of the island's "palm trees" are boardwalks lined with Arabic verses. The content is translated as follows:

Wisdom must be consulted by the sages

Those with vision can reach the water Text

Not all riders are knights

Great men have the courage to face greater challenges

3 Palm Deira started construction in November 2004 , expected to be completed in 2015. When completed, the island will be 10 times larger than Palm Jumeirah and can accommodate 1 million people, making it the largest of the three Palm Islands.
