Walking in Lingnan Huizhou

I decided to go to Huizhou on the weekend, and the itinerary was roughly scheduled to stop at the Huizhou Museum and West Lake.

D446 Dongguan East-Huizhou 9: 53-10: 33 itinerary: Huizhou Museum-Huizhou Science and Technology Museum-West Lake Scenic Area (Su Causeway-Xixin Bridge-Baota Mountain-Sizhou Tower-Livable).

After arriving at Huizhou Station, take bus No. 6 to the museum. The first and fourth floors of the museum are exhibitions, and the second and third floors tell the history of Huizhou's development. The museum has China Telecom’s WIFI hotspot and later the Science and Technology Museum. You can surf the internet inside. Huizhou is a famous historical and cultural city in Guangdong Province and one of the civilized cities in China. In ancient times, it was known as "a famous county in southern Guangdong", "the gateway to eastern Guangdong", and "half city has mountains and half city has lakes". At the same time, Huizhou is the main settlement place of Hakka people. Huizhou Hakka live in the Dongjiang River Basin and include Hakka ancestors, Hakkas and Hakka descendants. They are a regional group of Hakkas.

When I was taking the train, I saw a river passing through Huizhou City. Later I learned that it was the Dongjiang River, the mother river of Huizhou. So, another place was added to the plan, which was to go for a walk in Dongjiang. Although it was a weekend, there were not many people in the museum. I was basically alone in the huge exhibition hall, which was very quiet, but there were ancient cultural relics and tombs everywhere, and the glass inside was fluttering in the wind, which made people feel a little scared. After coming out at 12 o'clock, I passed by Huizhou Science and Technology Museum and walked around for a while. There were several people inside, all parents playing with their children. I checked the Baidu map on my mobile phone and found a bus stop on Yunshan Road, so I went there to wait for the bus. I wanted to find a hotel to rest, but the bus No. 35 to Xiajiao never came. I waited for half an hour and thought to myself, forget it and go to West Lake first. There are many buses to West Lake and they arrive quickly. There are many people taking buses and buses to visit the West Lake at Pinghu Gate. West Lake is next to Dongjiang River, and I felt a sense of familiarity before getting off the bus. I have been to Hangzhou West Lake in 10 years. Huizhou West Lake is similar to Hangzhou West Lake. But generally speaking, Huizhou West Lake is a little worse than Hangzhou, and it is not as good as Hangzhou in terms of hygiene and layout. Moreover, many scenic spots here are suspected of imitating Hangzhou. After two steps, you entered the scenic spot, picked up a few brochures at the tourist service center, walked along Su Causeway, and soon arrived at Xixinqiao, where you can see Sizhou Tower. It took more than an hour to walk from the east gate to the north gate. West Lake is a national key scenic spot, a national AAAA scenic spot and one of the first batch of provincial-level scenic spots in Guangdong Province. Located in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, it was originally named Hu Feng Lake. Historically, it was as famous as Hangzhou West Lake and Yingzhou West Lake. Yang Wanli, a poet of the Song Dynasty, once said, "The three lakes have the same autumn colors, and the Qiantang River is full of water." He refers to these three West Lakes. There are historical records of "Among the wonders of the sea, three are called West Lake and one is Huizhou" and "China's thirty-six West Lakes, only Huizhou and Hangzhou". Of course, another important reason why these three West Lakes are famous is that they were once the place where the great writer Su Dongpo of the Song Dynasty was demoted. "There are West Lakes everywhere on the east slope." Su Dongpo left a scenic spot for West Lake, and Dongpo improved the scenery. Commenting on the West Lake, people call Hangzhou Lake "the west of Wugong" and the lake "the west of Zhuqi Village". Recently, I was watching a TV series - Su Dongpo, starring Lin Xinru. Unexpectedly, I missed Dongpo Garden this time. I came to West Lake again the next morning and found that it was here. It was getting late, so I ended up staying in a hotel on Xiajiao Middle Road. After taking a shower, I went out for a meal, went back to sleep, woke up at around 2 o'clock the next day, and used WIFI to surf the Internet in the hotel.

D2 West Lake Scenic Area (Zhufeng Garden-Dongpo Memorial Garden-Zhunti Temple-Gushan-Chaoyun Tomb-Baihuazhou)-Huangpu Military Academy Eastern Expedition Martyrs Monument-Chaotianmen-Dongjiang-Wenbi Tower-Hejiang Building - Huizhou Commercial Pedestrian Street.

I get up at six o'clock. After checking out, have breakfast opposite. I ordered a piece of glutinous rice, a piece of stewed meat and a steamed bun. It tastes good. Today we went to Zhufeng Garden first. I came out earlier today. There are very few tourists in West Lake in the morning, which makes West Lake even more beautiful. After leaving Everest Park, we went to Dongpo Park. It was the same trip as another trip along yesterday's trail, but this time more careful. After leaving Pinghu Gate, we walked toward the Dongjiang River, passing by the Crusader Martyrs Monument of Huangpu Military Academy, Chaotian Gate, Dongjiang, and Wenbi Tower. Finally, we came to Hejiang Building, located next to Xinxing Bridge at the intersection of Dongjiang River and Xizhijiang River.

It is listed as one of the six most famous buildings in Guangdong, along with Zhenhai Tower in Guangzhou and Yuejiang Tower in Zhaoqing. After Su Dongpo arrived in Huizhou, he lived here for more than a year and a month, and wrote popular poems such as "Living in Hejiang Tower".

5 yuan, half ticket 2.5 yuan, actually there is nothing inside, but standing on the Hejiang Tower and looking at the riverside scenery is still good. There is an elevator in the building that can go directly to the eighth floor. Exiting the pedestrian street and returning to Pinghu Gate is equivalent to taking a triangle ride to the train station, ending the trip to Huizhou.

K635 Huizhou-Dongguan East 13:41 to 14:23 It’s already five o’clock when I get home.

This trip to Huizhou included 8 hours of rest in two days. This weekend was very fulfilling. Looking forward to the next trip.
