D1: Chengdu Assembly Day

Teammates arrived in Chengdu one after another and checked in at the hotel front desk according to the assembly SMS address. For directions from the airport or train station to the hotel, you can use the mobile phone map to navigate or consult customer service. If you have more time, you can choose to visit urban attractions such as Wuhou Temple, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Jinsha Heritage Museum, and Panda Base; you can also go to Kuanzhai Alley, Jinli, and Qintai Road to enjoy the slow time of Chengdu and stroll through the ancient alleys. Sip tea by the river and pick your ears. Chengdu is also a city of gourmet food, with a lot of choices for Sichuan cuisine, hot pot, snacks, etc.

D2: Chengdu-Rilong-Shuangqiaogou

We will gather at the hotel entrance at 6:30 in the morning and set off. Breakfast will be arranged early. Afterwards, we pass through the Chengguan Expressway-Duwen Expressway to see the Wenchuan Earthquake Site, along the Gengda River and Wolong Canyon, pass through the Balang Mountain Tunnel, take a panoramic view of Siguniang Mountain at [Maobi Bridge], and enter [Shuangqiaogou] for a visit in the afternoon. (Tour 3-4 hours, sightseeing bus), this is the most beautiful ditch in Siguniang Mountain and the earliest developed ditch. Afterwards, we left Gosu Hotel.

D3: Rilong-Xiaojin-Middle Road

Get up early and go to [Maobiqiang] to take pictures of the panoramic view of Siguniang Mountain in the morning light, and then return to the hotel for dinner. After breakfast, we went down the Dawei River to pay homage to the relics of the Red Army’s meeting in Dawei and Maogong, and to remember the Long March feats of the revolutionary martyrs. 18 kilometers away from Xiaojin County, there is an ancient building that is particularly eye-catching. This is the Wori Tusi Guanzhai built in the early Qing Dynasty. The "Battle of Xinmao" that triggered the Jinchuan and Jinchuan Wars during the Qianlong period took place here. After passing Xiaojin County, and going down the increasingly wider Xiaojin River, we arrived at Zhonglu Zangzhai. Zhonglu Zangzhai - meaning a desirable place in Tibetan - is one of the important components of the most beautiful village in China - Danba Zangzhai. There are 88 majestic ancient sculptures on the middle road, ranging from 30 to 60 meters in height. They have stood majestically for thousands of years. These beautiful Tibetan houses are scattered in the fields, forming a beautiful landscape. In late autumn and flower blooming season, Zhonglu Township is the place with the most photography enthusiasts. Our team leader will take everyone along the walking trail, connecting several of the best shooting spots on the middle road, and return to Zangzhai on the middle road for accommodation in the evening.

D4: Zhonglu-Jinchuan-Ker Township-Jinchuan

Continue your morning photography in the morning and go to the Sunrise Observation Deck on Zhong Road. If you don’t want to climb mountains and take photos, you can bask in the sun and drink tea in the courtyard full of flowers. At about 10 o'clock, we said goodbye to the Zangzhai Village on Zhonglu, went down the mountain, and had lunch in Danba County. After lunch, we will drive along the Dajinchuan River Valley, passing through Badi Beauty Valley, Malbang Chinese Diaowang, and Anning River Valley. Along the way, we will choose three or four spots to stop and take pictures, but please don’t waste too much time, because the highlight of the afternoon is Jinchuan County. Later, Kaer Township. From a commanding height, thousands of mountains are covered in red, with branches on both sides of the Dajinchuan River Valley, giving you a panoramic view. Around dusk and sunset, we returned to Jinchuan County to check in.

D5: Jinchuan-Shenxianbao-Jiaju Zangzhai-Tagong-Bamei-Xinduqiao (The total journey is 238KM, about 5 hours of driving, walking and playing)

Get up early and go to Shenxianbao, transfer to a local car, and go to the mountainside to wait for the early morning sunshine. Most of the blockbusters of Jinchuan’s red leaves come from here! The Immortal Bao is actually a round mound in Shaer Township, Jinchuan County. In the early morning, the river valley is full of water vapor, and the sunlight changes like a fairyland. Therefore, it is called the Immortal Bao by photography enthusiasts. After 10 a.m., we left Shenxian Bao and headed to Danba Jiaju Tibetan Village for lunch. After lunch, we will go upstream along the Yak River Valley and overlook the northern slope of Yala Snow Mountain. Climb over Geda Liangzi and come to Bamei, taking pictures of Bamei’s pastoral scenery along the way. In Tagong Grassland, take photos of Tagong Grassland and Muya Golden Summit. Following the Tagong River and passing through the Mani River Valley, the most colorful photo gallery in Xinduqiao is waiting for us. We had plenty of time, so we lingered here and stayed in Xinduqiao that night.

D6: Xinduqiao-Mugecuo-Moxi

Those who like photography will not miss the morning photos of Xinduqiao. Before sunrise, the tour leader will lead you to the Muya Gongga Observation Deck, which is a commanding height in Xinduqiao. You can overlook the three river valleys of Xinduqiao and the Gongga Sacred Mountain in the distance. We are here waiting for the sun to fill the valley a little bit. Then return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, drive for 1.5 hours, cross the Zheduo Mountain Pass, and arrive in Kangding for lunch. After lunch, visit Mugecuo, the largest alpine lake in western Sichuan. Mugecuo, also known as Yerenhai or Dahaizi, is one of the largest alpine lakes in northwest Sichuan. The water area is nearly 4 square kilometers, the water depth is more than 70 meters, and the altitude is 3,700 meters. Mugecuo is surrounded by mountains, forests, and grasslands. Dozens of small seas such as the Red Sea, Black Sea, and White Sea surround her, just like stars holding the moon. The scenic spot consists of six scenic spots: Dujuan Gorge, Fangcaoping, Seven-Colored Sea, Medicine Pool Boiling Spring, Mugecuo (Savage Sea) and Red Sea Grassland. There are many other alpine lakes and hot springs nearby, and the original forest, grassland and snow-capped mountain landscapes blend with each other. . Leave Mugecuo in the evening and go to Moxi Town at the entrance of Hailuogou for accommodation.

D7: Moxi-Hailuogou One-day Tour-Moxi

After dinner, transfer to the sightseeing car to enter Hailuogou National Geopark, and go to Ganheba Cableway Station via Camp No. 2 and Camp No. 3. After that, you can choose three ways to visit Glacier:

1) Take the ropeway across the glacier and go to Camp No. 4 to see the glacier and the ice waterfall. The cost is more expensive, 150 yuan/person for a round trip (the team members are responsible for it. And they can only buy round-trip tickets), but it is relatively easy, and it is recommended when the weather is fine.

2) Walking up the glacier: Take the sightseeing bus from Camp No. 3 to the ropeway ticket office, then walk along the sightseeing road to the observation deck. The one-way walk takes about half an hour to an hour. Walking through the virgin forest, the scenery is very beautiful. After arriving at the observation deck, you can also go down to the bottom of the glacier and watch the glacier up close. But walking is tiring and takes a long time. It should be reminded that Camp No. 4 cannot be reached on foot, so the scenery you see is not as spectacular as taking the ropeway. If the weather is not favorable, you can choose this method.

We generally recommend buying tickets at the entrance of the scenic spot at 8:00. The sightseeing bus passes through Camp No. 1, Camp No. 2, and Camp No. 3, and runs for 90 minutes to reach Ganheba Cableway Station. Buy cableway tickets here or hike up Glacier, either way, 3 to 4 hours of tour time is enough. In the afternoon, take a sightseeing bus out of the ditch and stay overnight in Moxi Town.

In the evening, you can experience Hailuogou Natural Hot Spring at your own expense (ranging from 50-188 yuan/person)

D8: Moxi-Erlang Mountain-Ya'an-Shangli Ancient Town-Chengdu

(The total journey is 335KM, about 6 hours of driving)

Breakfast in Moxi, then pass through the Erlang Mountain Tunnel and pass through Tianquan , there is a famous ancient town in western Sichuan - Shangli Ancient Town, 27 kilometers north of Ya'an City, which records the prosperity of the ancient Tea Horse Road in the past. We had lunch in Shangli Ancient Town, took 2 hours of photography after the meal, and then returned to Chengdu along the Chengdu-Wenqiong Expressway to end this photography trip. Arrival time in Chengdu on the last day is approximately 15:00-16:30 pm. If you want to leave Chengdu on the same day, please try to arrange a flight or train after 20:00.

Accommodation: Self-care

1. Transportation: Private car for the whole journey, choose the appropriate car type according to the number of people. It includes transfer fees to local cars at Zangzhai and Shenxianbao on the middle road.

2. Accommodation: Check in according to the standards listed in the itinerary. The standard rooms listed in the itinerary are all double rooms. If you join the group alone in our individual group activities, you will share the room with other group members of the same sex by default. Even if you can't share a room, you don't need to pay for the room difference.

3. Meals: This itinerary focuses on photography, leaving early and returning late, so meals are not included in the entire trip. Free breakfast is provided at some hotels along the way, and there will be no refund if you don’t use it.

4. Tickets: Includes Siguniang Mountain Shuangqiaogou Tickets and Sightseeing Car; Jiaju Tibetan Village Tickets; Mugecuo Scenic Area Tickets and Sightseeing Car; Hailuogou Tickets and Sightseeing Car (RMB 150 per person for the ropeway).

5. Team leader: local senior outdoor team leader provides full service. The group size of the activity is less than 8 people, and the driver will provide guide service. The driver is familiar with the route and gives tour suggestions to the team members, but he will not explain it like a professional tour guide, please understand.

Precautions for plateau travel

1. When you first enter the plateau, do not overeat to avoid increasing the burden on the digestive organs. Do not drink, smoke, or exercise strenuously to enable you to function well. adapt to this environment.

2. Eat more vegetables, fruits and other vitamin-rich substances, and drink more water.

3. Prevent colds caused by catching a cold. The temperature difference in the plateau is extremely large, so it is easy to catch a cold and catch a cold. It is better to be hotter than colder, so wear more clothes.

4. Once altitude sickness occurs, there is no need to panic. Targeted treatment will depend on the degree of the reaction. If the reaction is low, you can take a rest, drink more water and exercise less. Generally, it will disappear or weaken after a period of time.

5. Commonly used drugs to prevent altitude sickness: Rhodiola rosea, Sihetan tablets, glucose, etc., start taking them two days before entering the mountain and continue to take them during the journey, which can effectively prevent altitude sickness.

6. Prevent dryness, especially lip balm, sunscreen, etc., which can effectively prevent the loss of water and increase the body's resistance.

7. Safety factors should be fully considered during outdoor sports. Safety should not be ignored just because the scenery is too good. It is best not to go out alone at night in your accommodation.

8. Since most of the road sections are on plateaus, the driving time is long. There may be delays in arrival time due to objective reasons such as traffic jams and road maintenance
