Where is the best place for free beach travel in Guangdong?
Go to Shapa Bay/Moon Bay in Yangxi~~~You can go to two beaches at one time~~~Great value! !
TIP1: It is "Yangxi Station", not "Yangjiang Station"
TIP2: If you take the bus at the provincial station, it is recommended to book your tickets online in advance to avoid missing the suitable time. Secondly, if you book tickets online in advance, you can wait in the VIP waiting room, which is much cleaner and more comfortable. The price of the ticket is the same, but you have to pick up the ticket half an hour in advance
TIP3: From Guangzhou The drive to Yangxi is estimated to take 4 hours. It is recommended to bring your own snacks. The four of us bought 50 yuan snacks
(PS: Since the old baboon, this idiot, took the wrong subway line, he had to wait until departure Before, we had a life-threatening run in the crowded subway aisle. Fortunately, the driver had limited patience and got on the bus in time)
We will arrive at Yangxi Bus Station at about 1:00pm. There we will transfer to Sa Pa Wan, but before transferring, we bought return tickets for the next day.
From Yangxi Station to Shapawan, take the inter-county shuttle bus, which costs RMB 12 per person. It is a very clean and comfortable new bus. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Just get off at the terminal station, Shapawan Station. .
We arrived at our destination, Sha Pa Wan, at about 2:00pm. After getting off the bus, we walked straight ahead. On your left, turn left when you see a cement road, then go straight, and you will see it soon. There are many food stalls for eating, and then you will see a large flower garden carousel, which indicates that you have reached your destination. You will see many hotels going forward, and the sea is at the end of the road.
This process only takes about 10 minutes, just walk there.
(I’ve explained it in detail enough, but if you still can’t find it, just ask passersby, they will tell you enthusiastically)
Originally we stayed at the Yueyang Hotel , but two tour groups from Guangzhou came that day, and the hotel rooms were full, so we finally stayed at a family hotel in Yueyang.
In fact, our choice was not wrong. Okay, let’s give a detailed introduction to the family hotel we stayed in.
The so-called family hotel is actually staying in someone else’s home. The place we live is diagonally opposite the Guangdong Ocean, and is also on the other side of the big flower garden I mentioned just now. If you choose a hotel based on the distance to the seaside, this one is actually less than 200 meters away from the hotel, so there is basically no big difference, but the price is more affordable.
Then there are the hotel facilities and environmental issues that everyone is concerned about. It's said to be a hotel, but actually the owner's family lives on the second floor. The first floor is the lobby. The family watches TV and eats there every day. It feels very friendly and safe. There is an access control at night. The owner said it's best not to After 12pm.
The rooms are available for single, double, triple and quadruple people, and it seems there are also rooms for 5 people. The four of us chose a 4-person room on the 3rd floor, which has a bed, bathroom, and hot water shower (it uses an independent gas bottle, so hot water supply is guaranteed 24 hours a day, and disposable cleaning supplies are also provided free of charge) , as well as air conditioning and TV, the price is ¥30 yuan/person.
We all agree that the price is more suitable because the room is spacious, the bed and place are very clean, and there is a small balcony shared with the next room.
One more thing, if you have higher requirements and want to live in a room with a sea view, you can go to Haiyunju. It is in the building closest to the sea. It is estimated that the standard double room will cost more than 100. I didn’t ask for details. Pass.
Okay, let’s continue our journey.
After we found a place to stay and settled in, it was almost 2:45. Our stomach was flat, so we went straight to the place where we were eating to have our stomach healed.
Caiji is the most recommended by everyone in the local area. We also had dinner there. I will introduce this in detail below.
For lunch, we went to Zhaoji introduced by the owner (it seems to be called this name, on the cement road from where we came, on the left). Since it was after lunch time, there were few restaurants. Four people ordered three dishes and one soup.
Crab: ¥28.00/catty, we paid 30 yuan for 4 crabs per bag, and used them to cook winter melon soup. We cooked the soup for 4 people, it was very thick
< p> Shrimp Girl: ¥20/catty, we ordered one catty, boiled, served in a big plate, it feels like a good deal, a lot of meat, sometimes some is pasteTIP: I suggest you ask the boss lady for advice , the correct way to eat shrimp gu, so that you can truly appreciate the fun of eating shrimp gu.
Hand-made cuttlefish balls: 20 yuan/box. This is recommended by the boss. It is very filling and chewy, and tastes pretty good
TIP: But it seems to be a local specialty snack. Fried cuttlefish cakes, so if you are interested, you can try it. But it seems that Zhaoji is not for sale, but Caiji is.
Stir-fried sweet potato sprouts: RMB 8 per person. It’s a big plate and tastes great. Everyone is vying to eat it, haha
Rice: RMB 1 per person. To be honest, the rice is just average.
In the end, we ate everything except rice, because the boss lady gave us a big plate, haha. .
Totally, this lunch cost us ¥80, and I think the price/performance ratio is pretty good.
After eating and drinking, we are going to start playing.
According to the itinerary, we will first go to Moon Bay (not far from Shapa Bay, about 5-6 kilometers). After bargaining, the four of us bought one for ¥25.00 A three-wheeled motorcycle took us back and forth, and then we set off.
TIP1: In fact, only on the road, some tourists-looking people and tricycle drivers will come up to offer business. Some will give you small cards with phone numbers and license plate numbers written on them. Some even There are clearly stated services, including round trip from Sapa Bay to Moon Bay, taking you sightseeing, buying specialties, etc. Haha, it’s really a one-stop service. The local folk customs are very simple, so even if you don't take the bus, please politely decline with a smile.
TIP2: A tricycle can usually accommodate 6-7 people, and the price they offer is not too high, usually 30-40. You can bargain and negotiate based on the number of people. It is recommended that after returning from Moon Bay, ask the driver to take you directly to a beautiful beach in Shapa Bay (we didn’t go there, and we regretted it a bit). It is probably called Baxiantai.
Okay, after ten minutes of bumpy road, we will arrive at Moon Bay.
It has been developed recently and does not have many entertainment facilities. It only started charging tickets on May Day this year. It is ¥5.00/person, which includes a fresh water rinse after swimming (but you usually have to queue for a while to get your turn).
Having said this, it’s time for tips. Because we have to deal with the issue of whether to choose Shapa Bay or Moon Bay for swimming.
Actually, I think the water in Moon Bay is more suitable for swimming, because the water is really clean and clear, and the beach is also smooth. But there is one problem. I arrived around four o'clock , the sun is quite strong at this time, and it is easy to get sunburned if you swim.
So when I went to Moon Bay, I didn’t change into my swimsuit. I planned to go back to Sha Pa Wan in the evening and go swimming again. When I arrived, I really wanted to go into the water. In the end, I didn’t want to get my clothes wet, so I had to take pictures on the beach. If there are many people, it is recommended to bring a ball. It will be a lot more fun.
As for the choice, you decide for yourself.
Okay, let’s introduce Moon Bay.
What a beautiful beach, very suitable for swimming (I have a photo to prove it). There are not many people, and many of them are self-driving guests. If you want to be quieter, you can go to both sides, there are very few people. , but don’t go too far because the lifeguards won’t be able to take care of them.
We stayed at Moon Bay until about 5:30, and then returned.
TIP: Finally, make an appointment with the driver for the return time; if not, ask him for his phone number. When you are ready to leave, call him in advance to avoid wasting time waiting for the bus.
After returning to Sa Pa Wan, we went back to the hotel to change into swimsuits and prepare to go swimming in Sa Pa Wan.
But before swimming, we decided to have dinner first.
This time we chose to go to Caiji, which is to go to the seaside, on the right hand side.
There were not many people at that time, so we went up to the second floor because we could see the incomparable sea view when eating there. To be honest, based on the environment and cleanliness of Caiji, it is not expensive compared with other food stalls (haha, but the tables there are very big).
Start ordering. If there is no menu, ask the ordering waiter and the waiter will take you to the front of the kitchen on the first floor.
Dinner is three dishes and one porridge
Sandhopper shredded pork porridge: ¥28.00/small pot, it is said to be a small pot, but it is actually a large pot. It is enough for 4 people. The ingredients are abundant and the taste is fresh and sweet. It is worth recommending
Shrimp nuggets: ¥20.00/catty, haha, because we got the true story of how to peel shrimp nuggets from the proprietress Zhaoji, we all fell in love with eating shrimp nuggets, so we also called them One pound, and another big plate came out
Ginger and green onion oysters: ¥28 per case. Because Lao Babo and I both like to make trenches, we ordered this. However, we were really disappointed. , the oysters were not fresh and tasted bad, so in the end this was the only dish left.
TIP: Yangxi is rich in oysters, but in fact it is basically impossible to eat fresh oysters in Shapa Bay. I asked the local people , it is said that the place where oysters are produced is called Chengcun, which is also in Yangxi, but it is almost 100 kilometers (far away) from Shapa, and everyone is very protective of local characteristics, so there are almost no oysters to eat in Shapa. Make each feature unique. (This deserves a thumbs up, haha... although I really want to eat it)
Garlic lettuce: ¥10.00/case, the portion is reasonable, the taste is good, but I feel that the vegetables always taste the best every time It’s about to be wiped out, haha. . .
Okay, to sum up, dinner cost ¥86.00 yuan, which is still the same word: full. It costs 6 yuan more than lunch, but in exchange for bibimbap with an invincible sea view, I feel it is worth it. . .
However, I made some mistakes in ordering. I missed the special fried cuttlefish cakes and fried squid tubes. I regret it. . .
In addition, I originally planned to go for a swim at the beach after dinner while it was still dark, but the dinner time was delayed a bit. As a result, after dinner, it was already dark, so it was not suitable. We went into the water, but we still decided to go to the beach for a walk and play in the water.
TIP: If you are not hungry enough to play drums yet, go to the beach for a walk and watch the sunset, it is very romantic. Speaking of this, I would like to remind you that you cannot see the sunrise in Sha Pa Bay. If you want to see the sunrise, you have to go to Moon Bay.
Sapa is very quiet at night and there are not many people. Along the road is a tourist area that is under construction. It seems to be quite large. It is estimated that tolls will follow after it is completed. The cement road that has been repaired is The locals taking a walk after the meal were not tourists, but mostly couples, probably going to the beach to set off fireworks. We, little ones, don’t spend money to buy fireworks ourselves, but just share the brilliance that others put up in the sky, haha. . .
Shapa has not yet been developed, and there are basically no entertainment facilities. It seems that the hotel opposite Caiji has OK rooms, but I don’t think anyone will be so bored as to come to this place to sing karaoke, so It’s better to enjoy the boundless sea and relax here.
We returned after riding the waves until around 8:30.
On the way back, there will be some small stalls selling fruits and some dried seafood at reasonable prices. We bought a watermelon and a small portion of jackfruit, ***¥ 10.00, I highly recommend trying jackfruit, a very seasonal fruit, very sweet.
In addition to these, there is the local specialty snack - Clay Kiln Chicken Pulled. The price is about 45-50 yuan per piece. The chicken is about 2-3 pounds. It is basically suitable for 3-4 people (according to the Girls count).
Of course we couldn’t miss this. We chose the house we lived in. The stall at the back was run by an old lady and her son (I guess), who were amiable, honest and honest. It looks like there is a sign of the time-honored Niyao Chicken, and the price is ¥50.00/piece, which is a lot. It says that the chickens are home-raised local chickens, not feed, and the chickens are killed only after placing an order. They are absolutely fresh.
We couldn’t resist, but we still relied on our beauty and wisdom to convince the boss to give us 4 clay kiln sweet potatoes.
After paying a deposit of RMB 20.00, it will take about an hour and a half to get it. The boss said that it is not urgent, and he cannot just send it to you. Tell him where he lives and leave his cell phone number. When the chicken is ready, he will deliver it to your hotel door. Just go downstairs and pick it up.
Haha, everything is ready and waiting to eat chicken. . .
Before 10:30, the much-anticipated chicken finally arrived. It was wrapped in tin foil and still hot. Then there was a whirlwind and a cloud, and finally there was only a pile of bones. Just two conclusions. :tasty. As for the sweet potatoes, save them for the next day to eat on the road, haha. . .
Okay, after almost 4,000 words, I finally finished talking about the first day. We went to bed early that night because we wanted to get up early the next day and go to the beach for a walk.
Day two (2008.5.18)
I got up at around 7 o'clock in the morning and slept well. After washing up, we went to the beach again. Hehe, we enjoyed our stay. It's good to be close to the seaside.
Compared with the darkness of the previous night, the seaside in the early morning was fresh and pleasant. Very close to the shore, there were several large rocks, and then there was a stone bridge that extended to the sea. Not far away, haha, it feels like in a movie, taking pictures randomly again. . .
At about 8 o'clock, we started looking for our breakfast. On the way, we met an old man buying local cakes from a cart. There were many varieties. In fact, they were similar to those sold in Maoming. The main filling is mung bean, peanut and shredded coconut, and the price is mostly 5 cents each. We each picked two of our favorites, and the total cost was ¥5.30. Haha, they piled up like a small mountain.
Then we went to have breakfast next door to where we bought the Niyao Chicken last night. It was a small stall in front of our house, but the business was booming, and most of the people eating there were tourists like me. The style It's quite rich, including porridge, noodles and noodles.
Porridge: ¥5.00/large bowl, including crab porridge and oyster lean meat porridge. The ingredients are full, and the taste is unparalleled. We ordered two bowls of oyster porridge and shared small bowls. Eat together; there is also white porridge, but I didn’t ask about the price
Noodles: I forgot the price. There are soup noodles and roll noodles. The soup noodles seem to be beef brisket noodles, so we chose two of their specialties. The roll noodles cost ¥2.00/portion. The rolls are stuffed with bean sprouts, shredded carrots and other vegetarian vegetables. They are dipped in garlic chili sauce and taste pretty good
The cost of this breakfast is ¥14.00, which is quite filling. Yes.
After eating, it’s time to get ready to go to Yangxi Hot Spring.
TIP: Regarding Yangxi Hot Spring tickets, there is a ticket sales point at the Yueyang Hotel, which is estimated to be ¥50.00/person. You can also buy it at a hot spring resort, but the price is unclear.
Walk back to Shapawan Station, where you got off yesterday, and take the return bus to Huiyangxi Station, the fare is RMB 12.00/person.
After arriving at Yangxi Station, we found a three-wheeled motorcycle there and took it to the hot spring area. There were four of us. It cost ¥5.00 when we went and ¥4.00 when we came back. It took about 10 minutes to drive.
After you go to the hot spring resort and buy the tickets, just follow the instructions of the service staff for other things.
The resort will have activities in May. There will be some kind of car show in the square in front of the hotel in the evening, but we couldn’t make it in time, but thanks to the president, someone gave me a discount stamp. , so we went in for ¥38.00/person.
To be honest, May is really not a good time to soak in hot springs. It was really hot. We soaked in several pools for 10 or 20 minutes before we couldn’t stand it anymore, so we finally went to the swimming pool instead. Swimming, haha. . .
In fact, in addition to hot springs, the resort also has a water park. I guess we went there either early or late, and the water park was not open yet, which was a pity
Maybe because it was a weekend, and Went early, there weren’t many people inside, it felt like we had reserved the place, haha
What I also like is the pergola and beach chairs next to the swimming pool, where you can lie there and enjoy it. The cool breeze feels really comfortable
In addition, there is free tea supply in the hot spring area, and there seems to be sweet potato syrup, but we ate the sweet potatoes from the mud kiln that we saved from the night before, and we were full. . . .
Okay, let’s make a final overall evaluation. Yangxi Hot Spring Bar is a 4A-level resort hot spring. It feels clean and comfortable. The facilities and services are very good. Even if the ticket price is ¥50.00, it is worth a visit. ,
In addition, the Zhang Fei Hotel (it seems to be called this name) next to the resort is said to be very good. If you want to be luxurious, you can try it.
At around 12:30, we came out of the resort and asked the staff there to use a sightseeing car to take us to a place where we could wait for the three-wheeled motorcycles.
We asked the driver uncle who came back to introduce me to a place for lunch. Finally, he took us to a place called Yipinxiang (not far from Yangxi Station). The lunch was nothing special and not worth it. When I mention it, it seems to have cost more than 50, I really can’t remember.
So this place is not recommended for eating. I heard that there is a place to eat raw food a little further ahead. At that time, we didn’t go because it was too far. If you are interested, ask the driver who will take you there to give you some pointers. alright.
Okay, it’s almost the end, we will return at 2.30PM.
Let’s give a final summary. The whole process, food, drink, accommodation and transportation (calculated from Guangzhou to Yangxi back and forth) is 370 yuan/person.
After all, we spent money relatively sparingly. Food and accommodation were not extravagant. Most of the money was spent on round-trip fares.
Compared with similar two-day and one-night routes offered by travel agencies (the price is about 188-220), in addition to tickets, accommodation and attraction tickets, it seems that it only includes a dinner and a breakfast, and also brings Go shopping for specialties and the like.
So, we feel quite satisfied. The most important thing is that we enjoy the feeling of freedom.
Anyway, it’s a self-guided tour, and people can help you get rich and frugal. . .
Here are beautiful pictures of the beach for reference~~
