1. Lakeside Palace

The Lakeside Palace is located in the middle of Lake Pichola in Udaipur. It was built in the 18th century as a royal entertainment palace but is now one of the most luxurious hotels in India.

2. Konark Sun Temple

It was built by King Narasimhadeva I of the East Ganga dynasty. The temple is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

3. Taj Mahal Palace Hotel

The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel is located in Lake Pichola in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It is a veritable hotel in the lake. If you stay in the hotel, the hotel will have a special boat to transport tourists from the pier to the hotel. Because of this, it is rated as the most romantic hotel in India.

4. Higginbotham

Built in 1844, Chennai is proud that the oldest bookstore in India is located here. Higginbotham was founded in 1844 by the Englishman Abel Joshua Higginbotham, who incidentally came to India as a stowaway on a British ship. In 1904, it moved to its current location on Anna Saray Avenue. Although the building has aged, the Palladian architecture still stands out among the surrounding buildings, with a lovely old-fashioned sign bearing the name of the bookstore.

5. Senate

Built in 1879, this is a classic example of Indo-Saracenic colonial architecture for which Chennai is famous. It was pioneered by the British architect Robert Chisholm and integrated Indic, Mughal and Gothic styles. The building also incorporates Byzantine architectural elements into its design. It was completed in 1879 and is currently located on the University of Madras campus.
