What are some niche and unique places worth visiting?

Koh Sichang is a small island on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, less than 100 kilometers away from Bangkok, and located off the coast of Sriracha, a small town in Chonburi.

There are two reasons why I like Xichang Island:

Firstly, it is very close to Bangkok, and you can get to the island in an hour and a half drive + a 40-minute ferry ride;

< p>Second, there are very few tourists. The island has not been over-exploited and has basically maintained the simplicity of a small fishing village. Prices on the island are very cheap.

Xichang Island is very small, with only about 4,000 residents on the island. Fishing is the main source of income for island residents, followed by tourism. There are almost no foreign tourists, and more than 90% are local Thai tourists. The second lady roughly calculated that there are more than ten boats to the island every day. Except for the very early boats, on non-weekends, a boat that can seat about 70 people will probably only have half of the seats. Some are residents of the island, and there are only about 10 tourists. It is estimated that there are no more than 100 tourists who come to the island on non-weekends. Therefore, there are very few tourists, and Chinese tourists are even rarer. It is suspected that there are only two Chinese on the same boat.

Xichang Island does not have a particularly long coastline. The most convenient beach on the island to play on is Luo Cao Beach, which is located on the west side of the island.

There are no other islands on the island that are full of noisy beaches. bar, and there is only one 711 on the entire island. Probably these reasons are the reasons for the scarcity of tourists.

There are very few Xichang Islands, so renting sheep to play around is the best way. When you get off the boat, there are many people renting sheep on the pier. The cost of renting a sheep for a day is about 250B to 300B. Compared with other small islands, renting a car is very simple. No passport or deposit is required, just pay the fare directly. When returning the car, ride directly to the pier and a staff member will pick you up. The process is very convenient.

There are no star-rated hotels on Xichang Island. Most of them are B&Bs. The number is not too large, but the quality is good and the price-performance ratio is very high. Eat deliciously with sea view!

There are not many attractions on the island, but it is enough to play, especially if you take pictures at the Rama V Palace, it is extremely beautiful.

This palace is the largest building complex on the island and is the original site of Bangkok's Teak Palace. This palace was built by King Rama V for summer vacation. Later, when the French occupied the island, the palace was no longer built. After the French withdrew, the palace continued to be built, but Rama V never visited the palace again.

You can see beautiful sunsets in many places on the west side of the island. Whether you are eating seafood and watching the sunset at Luoxing Beach, or watching the sunset in a hotel room, it is very comfortable. You don’t have to travel for a long time to watch the sunset like other islands.
