Xi Metro Line 4 is the fourth subway line in Xi urban rail transit planning, which runs in the north-south direction. It is one of the three auxiliary lines in the recent planning of Xi Metro, running through Qujiang New District, Yanta District, beilin district, weiyang district and Economic and Technological Development Zone from south to north.

It is a backbone line in the recent construction plan of Xi 'an rail transit (20 12 ~ 20 18) approved by the National Development and Reform Commission.

Xi Metro Line 4 is designed with a 1 1 interchange station, which will interchange with 9 subways. Transfer at North Railway Station (North Square) 14 and Line 2 are on the same platform, then transfer to Line 2 at the administrative center station, transfer to the loop line of Line 8 at Yujiazhai Station, and transfer to Line 7 at the railway station.
