Alashankou Port is located in the northeast corner of Bozhou, adjacent to Toli County in Tacheng area in the northeast, Ebinur Lake in the southeast, Bole City in the southwest and Kazakhstan in the northwest. It is between190-340m above sea level, with an average width of about 20km, and inclines from northwest to southeast. It is the widest and flattest port in the northwest of China, which is far away from Kazakstan and Dostec ports in China. 1990, Alashankou was allowed to open to the outside world, the Sino-Kazakhstan railway was connected at Alashankou, and the second Eurasian continental bridge was connected across the board. Port administrative area 155 km2, and built-up area 12 km2. The resident population in the jurisdiction is more than 1 10,000, and the floating population is more than 30,000. Alashankou Port has developed into the only national first-class land port in China with four modes of transportation: railway, highway, pipeline and aviation, and has become the frontier of the land bridge economic belt and the international trade channel open to the west.

After more than 20 years of development, Alashankou Port has developed from Gobi Desert into a comprehensive national first-class port with full functions and vitality, and has become a bridgehead for Xinjiang's transition from the end of traffic to the frontier of opening to the west.
