History of Radisson Hotel

The history of Radisson Hotel can be traced back to 1909, when the first Radisson Hotel opened in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which was named after the famous French explorer Pierre Radisson. 1962, Radisson Hotel was acquired by Minneapolis businessman and entrepreneur Curt Carlson. With its successful Golden Stamp Company, Carlson made remarkable achievements in the 1940s and 1950s, and took the lead in putting forward the concept of customer loyalty program.

With the rich connotation of the brand, they created a number of firsts, including the first American brand in the Soviet Union, the first travel agency loyalty programs, look to book and the first transatlantic cooperation between Radisson and SAS International Hotel.
