< Villages and Residents > Xiaguang Village covers an area of about 2.5 square kilometers, with a population of 3,443. There are 11 villagers' groups in nine natural villages, including Hongcuo, Jiachangtou, Maoqian, Ganlin, Gantang, Houyao, Dongyuan, Houpu and Houting. The villagers are all Han, including Xu, Wang, Xie, Zhang and Chen.

< Village Style Village Appearance > Xiaguang Village has a unique village style because of its geographical advantages. The government's repeated development and construction have made the village look neat and orderly, and the villagers consciously participated in the construction of a new socialist countryside. In 22 and 24, it was awarded the titles of "affluent civilized village" and "affluent well-off village" by Quanzhou Municipal Government respectively.

< Historical Humanities > Before liberation, nine natural villages in Xiaguang Village belonged to "Xialianpu". Villagers in four natural villages, such as "Yao Xia Si Xiang Xu", have been living in Xiaguang Village since the Song Dynasty, and they were named after eighteen fired ceramic caves when they settled there. These ceramic cave sites were designated as cultural relics protection units by Hui 'an county government in 1984. In August, 1947, Xu Xijin and Xu Huodong, the underground party member, returned to Hui 'an County to carry out revolutionary work under the instructions of Fujian Provincial Party Committee. Based on their ancestral home Xiaguang Village (Houyao Natural Village), they developed party organizations, established revolutionary armed forces, led the masses to oppose the "Three Signs" and set up the Party branch in Southeast Hui 'an to welcome the liberation of Hui 'an. Guerrilla captain Zhang Yuanshui (a native of Ganlin Natural Village in Xiaguang Village) was discovered by the enemy during a reconnaissance of the enemy. There was a fierce gun battle between the two sides. Zhang Yuanshui died heroically in the battle. After liberation, he was recognized as a revolutionary martyr by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and his martyrs cemetery was designated as a moral education base in Fujian Province. In 1982, the Fujian provincial government confirmed our village as "an old revolutionary village".

< Economic Situation > There are 23 enterprises above designated size in Xiaguang Village, and their main industries are printing, clothing, bag-packing, food, transportation, gold wood carving, stone carving and shadow carving. < Tourism Landscape > Over the past few years, the county party committee and county government have successively requisitioned land for the construction of China Carving Art City, Hui 'an Sports Center and Xibin Park in our village, and now the three major projects have been completed as scheduled and become tourist attractions in Hui 'an.
