Professor Wang Chongmin, the current academic leader, graduated from the Graduate School of China University of Political Science and Law with a master's degree in civil law. Excellent experts with outstanding contributions in Hainan Province. Master tutor of civil and commercial law, vice chairman of civil and commercial law research institute of Hainan Law Society. He presided over three provincial and ministerial-level research projects, namely, Research on Socialism with Chinese characteristics's Property Right System, Research on Case Teaching of Law Majors, and Theory and Practice of Cultivating the Ability of Law Students. He published the monograph 1 of Exploration of Civil Law in China, edited the textbook 1 of General Theory of Contract Law, and published 9 papers. Among them, "Exploration of China Civil Law" won the third prize of outstanding achievements of the third social science in Hainan Province, and "Research and Practice of Cultivating the Ability of Law Students" won the second prize of provincial teaching achievements of general higher education in Hainan Province. Criminal law is one of the important departmental laws. This subject is devoted to a comprehensive and systematic study of China's criminal law, foreign criminal law, international criminal law and criminology, emphasizing the combination of theory and practice. The South China Sea is in a leading position in the research of crime constitution, maritime terrorism, piracy and security mechanism in China. A series of distinctive achievements have been made in property crimes, some of which are quite in-depth and advanced; Based on the reality of Hainan, Empirical Research on Criminology and Criminal Policy is exploratory in the study of juvenile delinquency and penalty execution, and has achieved fruitful results in the above research directions.

In recent years, this discipline has undertaken a number of important national and ministerial projects, such as the national social science fund project "Research on the Countermeasures of Criminal Regulation of Maritime Terrorism and Piracy Crime", the humanities and social science fund project of the Ministry of Education "Research on the Basic Theory of Property Crime" and the Central Committee project "Research on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency".
