The "China Yongtai Market Festival" was held for the first time in Songkou Town. Qingyun Mountain was selected as one of the “Top Ten Business Cards of Fuzhou”. Tourism supporting facilities have been gradually improved, and the Royal Hot Spring Hotel has been built and opened to the public; some projects of the Dazhangxi Leisure and Entertainment Center have been opened to the public; the Maitreya Village Physiotherapy Center project has started construction; a number of farmhouse hotels have been opened around some scenic spots. Throughout the year, the county received 938,000 tourists, an increase of 38.8%; the total tourism revenue was 278 million yuan, an increase of 43.3%.

Yongtai Red Cliff Scenic Area:

The Red Cliff Scenic Area covers an area of ??23 square kilometers and has a planned investment of 100 million yuan. As of 2012, more than 40 million yuan has been invested. Chibi Creek runs through the entire scenic area, with ninety-nine bends and eighty-eight curves. Chibi Ecological Scenic Area has become one of the famous tourist attractions in Fujian Province and is rich in animal and plant resources. The scenic spot maintains its original, rough and wild natural features. Groups of stubborn monkeys often appear. Accompanying tourists, wild animals such as goats, hares, pangolins, civet cats, and small raccoons shuttle freely. Plants grow luxuriantly and are of various types, with more than 700 species of vascular plants, among which there are nearly 20 species of national first- and second-level protected plants such as yew, water pine, ginkgo, and spiny alpinia. In 2011, it was listed as a national ecological Tengshan Forest Nature Reserve and Fuzhou Agricultural Economic Development Zone.
