SkyTeam is an international air service network composed of airlines. On June 22nd, 2000, Air France, Delta Air Lines, Aeromexico and Korean Air jointly established SkyTeam. Xiamen Airlines joined SkyTeam on 20 12.

Xiamen Airlines Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xiamen Airlines") was established on July 25th, 1984. Xiamen Airlines is the first airline in China to operate according to the modern enterprise system, which was jointly established by the Civil Aviation Administration and Fujian Province. At present, its shareholders are China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. (55%), Xiamen Jianfa Group Co., Ltd. (34%) and Fujian Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd. (6544). Xiamen air carrier code is "MF" and enterprise logo is "Blue Sky Egret".

Xiamen Airlines has seven branches in Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Nanchang, Tianjin, Beijing, Changsha and Quanzhou. With Xiamen, Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Changsha and Beijing as the operation bases and Chongqing, Tianjin, Changsha, Nanchang, Quanzhou and Wuyishan as the second hubs, it operates to more than 240 domestic, international and regional routes in major cities in China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia, and has set up offices and business departments in more than 40 major cities at home and abroad. 2011June 5-7, the International Air Transport Association Annual Meeting and Global Air Transport Summit was held in Singapore. Che Shanglun, general manager of Xiamen Airlines, personally led a team to attend the meeting. At the meeting, he formally submitted his application to join SkyTeam, one of the three major aviation alliances in the world, and it was unanimously approved by the SkyTeam Council.
