Spring in Kikujiro

In his father's life, the man abandoned by his mother lives with his grandmother. A man who had never seen his mother suddenly ran away from home in a summer vacation, looking for his mother who had never been masked with photos and addresses. Kikujiro's wife was worried that the child would be in danger along the way, so she asked Kikujiro to accompany the child, and a different journey began.

During this trip, many things happened that made people laugh and cry. Kikujiro, who looks silly, and the depressed and honest men naturally meet all kinds of jokes. Kikujiro took a man to bet on racing cars and lost all his fare and money, so that he had to hitchhike to his destination. On the way, they met many people, including good and bad, naive and enthusiastic hotel waiters, and street hooligans who charged protection fees. There are young artists who are determined to drive vans around the country (although Japan is small), and there are also passers-by who are unwilling to drive. There are kind and helpful couples, and there are truck drivers who killed Kikujiro (of course, this is entirely Kikujiro's fault). Mr. Good Man, Mr. Octopus, Fat Man and so on ... A group of people got together and staged a wonderful play. In the director's own words, a group of boring people got together and played games in the name of children.

I personally like the role of Kikujiro. Although he has all the shortcomings of ordinary people, he loves face and pretends to be noble. On the one hand, he scolded his partner for stealing from others, on the other hand, he thought watermelon was not cool enough, belittled others and raised himself, and he would retaliate. The truck driver will break the truck window just because he doesn't want them to carry it. Kikujiro always doesn't want to solve problems in a proper way, and likes to be clever. Change the luggage of pedestrians in exchange for food, let men dress up as poor people to win the sympathy of car owners, and even put thumbtacks in the middle of the road, hoping that a car will have a flat tire when passing by, and then exchange hitchhiking opportunities in the name of helping car owners. He still has a little heroism, and his demands are unreasonable and ridiculous ... but his most precious thing is that he has a kind and young heart. In order to comfort men, he took the angel bell given to him by his fat girlfriend. He is a little cute. He tells a group of adults and children to take off their clothes and play with wooden heads. He tells others to play with aliens today and monsters tomorrow. He never does it himself. It is because of those shortcomings that the role of Kikujiro is fuller and more real. With these advantages, others can be ignored ~ ~ ~

Perhaps it is because the role of Kikujiro was played by director Kitano Takeshi himself, so the character's character is more in line with his expected requirements, so such an excellent role can be created. It is understood that Kikujiro was originally the name of the director's father, and the protagonist of the film was named Kikujiro to commemorate his father. Speaking of his father, he said, "I never seem to talk to him." But in retrospect, he was really a little lonely. The theme of this film is a bit like the feeling of sweeping graves and filial piety, and it is also a kind of support. "

The relaxed and happy movie scene is matched with the light piano music specially created by Japanese pop master Joe Hisaishi for the movie. The two complement each other. Whenever I listen to this music, I never think of Kikujiro and Zhengnan walking on the road.

The climax of the film should be that when the man sees that his mother has abandoned himself and formed another happy family, but he is outside this family, he thinks that at least the man will know his mother and then he will suffer. I can only say that I speculated the plot of Japanese movies with the thinking of China movies.

A trip about summer, after reading it, I still think of cornfields, the appearance of banana forests and the breath of sunshine at the tip of my nose. I don't know who cured who in this journey, maybe all the people, the liberation of just people, the repentance of Kikujiro, and the soul promotion of all good people. At the end of the film, I returned to everyone, but everyone's mood was different, leaving me with a touch of summer sunshine.
