Guilin 4-day self-guided tour, please recommend the route

Day 1: After settling down in Guilin, go to Xiangshan Park. Tickets to Xiangshan Park are cheaper during the day. There is a legendary performance of Xiangshan in the evening. Tickets are expensive. Of course, if you want to watch the show, go at night. Then the family walked around the two rivers and four lakes. From Xiangshan Park, they went to Shan Lake, Yangqiao, and Rong Lake. If they were willing to spend money, they could take a cruise to see the night view of the two rivers and four lakes. You can go to Zhengyang Road Pedestrian Street by Shanhu Lake for dinner. Both meals and snacks are available. Be sure not to go to the area around South Ring Road, that is, from Xiangshan Park, between Wenchang Bridge and Nanmen Bridge, and from the Wenchang Bridge traffic light to Zhongshan Hotel. Along the street, there are so-called specialty restaurants one after another, all designed to rip off foreigners, and locals will never go there. Stay in Guilin city for the night.

Day 2: If you want to spend a day in the city and see a cave, I recommend going to Reed Flute Cave. It is the Guobin Cave in the Guilin Cave. Ordinary tour groups are not arranged to go there, only luxury groups. Just went. If you don’t want to see the cave, take your kids to go hiking and wading at Gudong Waterfall. Usually half a day is enough to go to Reed Flute Cave. I wonder if there are many people during the National Day holiday, but it will take a day to go to Gudong Waterfall.

Day 3: Cruise the Li River to Yangshuo. There are many people during the National Day holiday. It is recommended to take a boat cruise on the Li River. It is operated by Guilin Tourism Co., Ltd. It is very formal and leaves Mopan at 9:00 or 9:30 in the morning. Get on the boat at Shan Pier and go down the river. The journey takes about 4-5 hours and arrives in Yangshuo County at about 2:30 pm. Don't take a bamboo raft. One reason is that during the peak tourist season, there are many disputes over taking a bamboo raft to swim on the river. On the other hand, there are many tourists and ships on the Li River during the National Day holiday. Where the ships pass by, you can't see any tranquility or reflections. If you can't experience it, the meaning of riding a bamboo raft will be meaningless. After arriving in Yangshuo, if you haven’t gone to Reed Flute Cave, you can take a bus to Yinzi Cave. If you don’t like visiting caves, don’t go. If you go shopping on West Street in the evening, you can also go see Impression Liu Sanjie, who lives in Yangshuo.

Day 4: You can go rafting on a bamboo raft in the Yulong River. You can imagine that because of the large number of people during the National Day holiday, the peaceful pastoral scenery of the Yulong River is also broken, but at least you went. After landing, rent a three-person bicycle and ride as a family to Shili Gallery. It is strongly recommended that you do not buy tickets to see any scenic spots along the way, including Utopia. They are all man-made. Economic groups organized by travel agencies like to go there, so don't join in the fun and waste your time. You can stay in Yangshuo at night, then go to West Street or see Impression Liu Sanjie, but the accommodation in Yangshuo will definitely double during the National Day. If you don’t particularly like Yangshuo, it is recommended to stay in Guilin city.

Day 5: Mobile arrangements. Guilin City also has Seven Star Park, Jingjiang Royal City, Diecai Mountain, Fubo Mountain, etc. It is recommended not to go to Longsheng Longji Rice Terraces during the National Day holiday, because the transportation there is troublesome, and the food and accommodation during the holiday will be twice as expensive. The scale of the rice terraces is not large, so it is a bit disappointing to spend a lot of money to go there.

Note: When you go out, for the sake of safety, do not expose your money. In Yangshuo, there are bad guys who specialize in robbing tourists who ride bicycles around Yangshuo. There are thieves in Guilin's bus stations, train stations, pedestrian streets, and even on the streets, both men and women. The most common ones are at bus stations and train stations with many foreign customers. Don't buy or stay in small shops near train stations and bus stations. There are many thieves there, and shopkeepers and clerks are also shady. Most of them will bully out-of-towners. The most despicable thing is to exchange money. Also, beware of unlicensed taxis when taking a taxi. Even if it’s a regular taxi, don’t trust the driver’s words. We don’t rule out the possibility that he is a scammer. Don’t go to KTVs, bars, travel agencies, or restaurants recommended by him. Shops, not to mention the restaurants and KTVs recommended by tricycles. If you encounter blackmail by bullies and black forces, the best policy is to find a way to escape on your own. If you really can't escape, call 110 to call the police. Don't be surprised if the police don't respond. The above-mentioned ugly phenomena have been repeatedly banned by relevant government parties, and we have to protect ourselves.
