The Construction Significance of Xujiaping Airport in Enshi

Because of Enshi's special geographical position, air transportation plays an important role in promoting local economic construction, transportation and foreign exchange. Over the years, Hubei Civil Aviation Bureau has been very concerned about the construction and development of Enshi Terminal, giving strong support, laying a good foundation for the development of Enshi civil aviation. The types of flights they fly are Zomba Q-400 issued by Hainan Airlines, Dornier 328-300 and xinzhou 60 aircraft issued by Wuhan Airlines. There are 20 flights to and from Wuhan, Yichang and Chongqing every week, with an annual passenger throughput of more than 50,000 passengers. While new models enter Enshi, other urban routes will be added in the future. There is also a star-rated hotel in Enshi Terminal, which has many service functions, such as civil aviation ticketing, passenger catering, accommodation, entertainment, fitness and so on, and can provide accommodation and catering for more than 100 passengers. At the same time, an air travel agency has been established, which can handle tourism business all the year round. The expansion project of Enshi Airport has been put on the agenda, which can accommodate more than 65.438 million passengers. The pre-feasibility study report passed the expert review in Beijing in April 2003, and the estimated total investment is about 654.38 billion yuan.

Enshi Autonomous Prefecture is the only minority autonomous prefecture in Hubei Province, which is listed as the scope of western development by the state.
