Henan Technical School is the first batch of national key technical schools, which was founded in 1954 and belongs to the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Henan Province. 1999 was upgraded to Henan Vocational and Technical College with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and students from vocational and technical schools were enrolled at the same time. The school is located in Zhengzhou Longzihu University Park.

It is a public full-time technical school that mainly trains middle and senior skilled talents in short supply in society. It is a governing unit of Henan Modern Manufacturing Technician Education Group, a national-level high-skilled personnel training base, a provincial-level technical personnel training and appraisal demonstration base, and an excellent employment unit in colleges and universities in Henan Province.

The college covers an area of 660 mu, with a construction area of 258,000 square meters, a total practice area of 94,700 square meters, and the total value of teaching and training equipment is nearly 200 million yuan.
