Royal Hawaii Hotel

The Royal Hawaiian Hotel is located on Waikiki Beach in the Hawaiian Islands of the United States. It is one of the world-renowned romantic resort hotels. The unique pink decor makes this hotel stand out among many Hawaii beach hotels. But after more than 80 years, the hotel facilities have become outdated. The operator decided to renovate the interior of the hotel to restore the "pink hotel" to its former glory. "Pink Palace" The Royal Hawaiian Hotel officially opened on February 1, 1927. Decades ago, it was the symbol of top-class, exclusive hotels on Waikiki Beach in the Hawaiian Islands, a pinnacle that no other hotel could match. Because this hotel is based on pink, it has won the reputation of "Pink Hotel" and even "Pink Palace of the Pacific". It is built in the stunning Spanish Moorish style, with a unique rose-red exterior and a "pink palace" interior. From the tablecloths and napkins in the restaurant to the towels and bed sheets in the guest rooms, these service facilities are all pink. The iconic red and white sun umbrellas have also become a unique scenery on the beach. In January 1942, during World War II, U.S. Navy troops visited the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. As a result, the hotel was closed to the public and became a place for soldiers to rest and relax. In October 1945, these navy soldiers visited the hotel again. Soon after, the hoteliers spent $2 million on the hotel's first renovation. Clouds of Celebrities The views of the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head presented through the hotel rooms are also one of the selling points of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel to attract customers. This hotel attracts many celebrities to stay every year. From the wealthy American Rockefeller family to the British Beatles, vacation guests include prominent American dignitaries, world-famous Hollywood movie stars and celebrities from all over the world. During the hotel's heyday, entertainment legends such as famous Hollywood movie stars Marilyn Monroe, Natalie Wood and Dean Martin were all regular guests. In the 1930s, in order to welcome the arrival of the popular child star Shirley Temple, the hotel also launched a drink named after her. In addition, the popularity of celebrities has also made the "Maitai" bar located in the hotel prosperous. Restoring style But after more than 80 years, the outdated furniture and fancy wallpapers from the 1980s in the rooms of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel have become outdated, and the style of this world-renowned resort hotel is no longer what it used to be. In order to restore the true character of the "Pink Palace", the operator decided to invest US$110 million in the hotel's second renovation in its history. On January 1 next year, the hotel will reopen to welcome guests. The Associated Press quoted hotel marketing manager Lisa Morial on the 12th as saying that the hotel will still be a well-known pink hotel by then, and this renovation is to highlight the "pink palace" theme. The designer proposed a bold renovation plan: while retaining the noble and elegant style, the hotel's interior furnishings will use more modern and popular elements, while some classic pink service facilities such as towels and bed sheets will be withdrawn from the hotel. Some shops and walls near the hotel’s portico will also be demolished to open up views of the ocean and coconut grove gardens. In addition, the newly added personal butler will provide customers with round-the-clock service.
