Why are there no peacocks in the countryside?

Peacock breeding takes a long time, the market is small and the breeding cost is high.

1. Peacocks have been raised for a long time.

As we all know, it takes 22 months to raise a peacock from small to large, that is to say, it is basically impossible to get out for nearly two years, and it costs money. It is even harder to get sick and may waste a lot of money. Breeding peacocks in rural areas will not bring great benefits to people, so no one will choose to breed peacocks.

2. Peacocks don't sell much.

Peacock is an ornamental animal. In fact, the area is relatively large, so many hotels do not want it. Because you can't eat it all at once, if you give it to the back table, people will resent it, so few people want to eat it. In addition, large animals generally eat more, so few people choose to breed peacocks.

3. The breeding cost is high

Compared with some chickens and ducks, it takes a lot of space to raise peacocks, so it costs more to build a bigger space than ordinary poultry. Because peacocks can't be raised indoors together, they need to be raised separately, so the cost is much higher than ordinary ones. Moreover, peacocks are difficult to train and are not suitable for raising as poultry, which will lead to no one raising peacocks in rural areas.
