Kevin: Earlier this year, a lot of feedback from players showed that the Furnace Arena was dominated by skills and there was almost no room for gun battles. Players can use skills repeatedly, and these skills are very deadly. Destiny is essentially a "space magic" game, and any skill adjustment must be cautious. I think our change this time can keep the interesting part of the fate system and get rid of those annoying dead branches and leaves. I want to emphasize that the advantage of Destiny 2 is that as a service game, we can adjust our sandbox at any time, and you will see that this change has left us more room for a balanced version. Let's welcome Eric Smith to introduce us to the detailed version changes.
Variable skill cooling system (variable capacity cooling system)
Eric: In the 30th anniversary edition, every small skill in every skill category (super power, melee, grenades, etc. ) having its own cooling time will bring us more detailed version balance adjustment methods. With the introduction of this system, we adjusted the skill CD of each talent tree separately, and based on this, we calibrated their intensity. A good example is the sticky plasma Grenade. Viscous plasma grenades (flux grenades):
The cooling time is increased from 82 seconds (T3 commandment) to 182 seconds;
Incidental explosion damage increased from 150 to 250; (PVP 1 sec)
The damage to PVE combatants will increase by15%; (/kloc-more than 0/5% damage as the premise)
Remove projectile tracking;
Add a small amount of auxiliary aiming;
Throwing speed increased117%;
Can now be attached to any surface.
Eric: As you can see, the CD of plasma mine has become very long now, but the advantage is that PVP is killed and the damage of PVE is increased. Note: At present, plasma mines are only available for hunter classes.
A counterexample is the flame Grenade:
The basic cooling time is reduced from 82 seconds to 64 seconds;
The damage of each scorching sun beam is reduced from 90 to 65;
Damage to PVE units increased by 15%.
Eric: Now the Flame Thunder CD is shorter * especially when it has the 100 commandment, but at the same time its damage is reduced.
We think these changes leave more room for assembly (translation: can we also leave more room for the warehouse? Because of these changes, we have increased the basic cooldown of each skill in the talent selection interface.
In the character interface, you will see that the armor and skills you are currently equipped with * * * determine the skill cooling time.
Note 1: The "base cooling time" displayed in the game is the cooling time (discipline, strength ...) at 30 o'clock. This is because basically the game will "punish" you because your panel is less than 30 o'clock, which means that your skill cooling time is slower than the base. We are trying to make the system more intuitive in future versions.
Note 2: Due to the lack of technical ability, the cooling time of professional skills can't be viewed on the talent page for the time being, and we plan to fix it in a future version.
In the 30th anniversary edition, we changed almost all the skill CDs separately (longer). Our original intention was to make PVP more focused on firearms. But we don't want to hurt PVE. We have made compensatory reinforcement for PVE as much as possible. The PVE damage of all grenades is increased by at least 15%. The cooling time of melee remains basically the same, and the cooling time of some weaker melee even becomes shorter. The CD of vocational skills has also become longer as a whole, but its change depends more on what skills you have.
