How to set up a mail server in a dynamic IP environment

Make the following preparations before installation: 1. Select and determine the database platform of the mail server. If you plan to use the existing database service on the server, you can choose not to install the Mysql database module during installation, otherwise the MuseMail server installer will automatically install and configure the Mysql-based database service for you. 2. Configure the basic network environment. In the case of setting the Internet post office server, if the server to install the MuseMail server is located in the intranet, you must set the corresponding NAT mapping on the gateway (please refer to the related product operation manual for specific settings), and completely open the port of the intranet server to the Internet, so that the access request from the Internet can reach the intranet server correctly. In addition, if there is an isolated network firewall in the network or the network firewall software is installed on the server, the port needed to open the MuseMail server must be set on it in order for the mail service to operate normally. 3. Set the MX (mail exchange) record of the domain name. For each applied domain name, there is an mx record (mail exchange record, which is a record of the domain name on the DNS server to tell the DNS server which computer is responsible for handling the mail in the domain name), which can be set as the address of the mail server corresponding to the specified domain name. This record must be set in order to receive the mail sent from the outside normally. (Please contact your domain name registrar for specific setting methods) 4. Install and set up Microsoft IIS. The webmail part of MuseMail server is written in asp language and needs the support of IIS.
