Where is Weiquan Village located?

Weiquan Village is located on the west bank of Xiashan Lake. It is named because it is close to Weishui River and there is a clear spring in the village that gushes all year round. This spring flows into the vast Xiashan Lake all year round. Weiquan Village is surrounded by water on three sides. The scenery of the peninsula is naturally beautiful. The terrain of Weiquan is high in the west and low in the east. The farmhouses are scattered according to the terrain. There are farm fish houses built around the lake, streets and alleys lined with trees and bamboos, and dotted artificial fish ponds. It is warm in winter and cool in summer. In 2013, Weiquan Village was rated as "Hospitable Shandong's Most Beautiful Village" by the Shandong Provincial Tourism Bureau, and in 2014, it was rated as a Rural Tourism Demonstration Village in Shandong Province.

In 2013, Weiquan Village established the Xiashan District Fishing and Entertainment Association, which consists of 50 farmer households. The establishment of the association has greatly promoted the healthy development of rural cultural tourism. A domestic sewage treatment plant was built in the village, which completely solved the environmental bottleneck restricting the development of rural tourism. At present, 11 farmhouse fish house hotels and 10 farmhouse experience hotels have been built. There are more than 300 rural tourism employees, receiving 300,000 tourists annually, and generating tourism income of 40 million yuan.
