The Scientific Research of the Department of Architecture of Shanghai Jiaotong University

The main research directions of architecture department of Jiaotong University include: innovative architectural design theory and method research, building energy-saving technology research, intensive urban planning technology research, architecture and urban heritage protection and renewal research.

In recent five years, the Department of Architecture of Jiaotong University has obtained a number of important scientific research projects, including: National Natural Science Foundation projects, key projects of the Ministry of Land and Resources and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" of the Ministry of Construction, humanities and social sciences projects of the Ministry of Education, research start-up fund projects for returned overseas students of the Ministry of Education, projects funded by Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and projects funded by Shanghai Cultural Relics Management Committee.
