Fujian granaries-Pucheng and Jian 'ou in northern Fujian

Go to Nanping, Fujian on business this week. Although it was only three days, I also gained a lot of knowledge. In my spare time, I visited several interesting places, tasted local specialties and learned some local customs, which was very comfortable.

Nanping is a prefecture-level city in Fujian Province, located in the northernmost part of Fujian, bordering Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces, commonly known as "northern Fujian". During the revolutionary war years, Fujian Provincial Party Committee stationed in northern Fujian many times. Northern Fujian has the typical characteristics of "eight mountains, one water and one field" in the south of China, forming a landform dominated by hills and mountains, which is known as "Fujian granary", "beautiful forest in the south" and "China Bamboo Township". Wuyishan is a famous world natural and cultural heritage, located in Nanping City. This trip mainly passes through Pucheng County and Jian 'ou City (county-level cities), so briefly introduce these two counties.

Pucheng County, located in the northernmost part of Fujian Province, is the junction of seven counties in Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces. The county seat is 2 18km away from Fuzhou, the provincial capital (linear distance). It takes about 63 minutes by high-speed train from Fuzhou to Wuyishan East Station, and then 70 minutes by car to Pucheng County. From Fuzhou, there is only a through train (about 4-5 hours), and there is no through train, so the traffic is still not convenient enough.

There are four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall and sunshine, and the annual average temperature is 17.4℃. The average annual snowfall is 7.4 days, the longest continuous snowfall is 7 days, and the deepest snow has reached 28 cm. For southerners, there are not many opportunities to see snow, and the degree of joy brought by a snow may be difficult for northerners to understand.

Although there is no star in Guidu Hotel, the standard room price of more than 300 yuan is almost equipped with the standard of a four-star hotel, which is worth recommending.

There is a Mengbi Mountain near the hotel, less than 30 meters high. According to legend, this mountain was originally named Gushan, and Xiao Zikai in the Southern Dynasties wrote in Jian 'an Ji: "The Gushan is surrounded by obstacles and its ground is flat. It can be seen that this mountain is quite lonely because of its name. " The reason why Gushan was changed to Mengbi Mountain is because of a story related to Gushan written by Jiang Yan, a writer in the Southern Dynasties. In the second year of Hui Yuan (474), Jiang Yan was demoted to Pucheng (then called Xing Wu) county magistrate. He often lingers in the mountains and rivers of the county, but he especially likes lonely mountains. Legend has it that one night in the mountains, I got a colorful flower pen in my dream. In the future, thoughts are like a tide, and there are many beautiful sentences in the poem, which is passed down as a beautiful talk of "dream pen gives birth to flowers". The mountain is obvious to all, and it was renamed Mengbi Mountain because of the lonely mountain. Although the mountain is famous, it's a pity that the local government didn't make good use of this material. The mountain has become a parking lot for trucks, a simple temple on the top of the mountain, and not many people usually go up the mountain.

Wandering around the county seat, I accidentally saw the "Sanshan Guild Hall". As a Fuzhou native, I feel very cordial. Because Fuzhou is nicknamed "Three Mountains", it can be understood as the office of Fuzhou Municipal Government in Pucheng.

Not only that, I also saw the legendary "pontoon bridge", which added a bit of goodwill to this old county.

Osmanthus fragrans, commonly known as Osmanthus fragrans. In Pucheng, osmanthus trees can be seen everywhere. Especially in Yangliujian Village, Linjiang Town, Pucheng County, there is a tree named "Jiulong Gui" by local people. According to the expert's determination, its tree age is over 1 100 years, and it is known as "the king of osmanthus fragrans in Fujian". Because there are nine branches in the crown, it is called "Jiulong Gui". Unfortunately, the timing is not right. It will take another month or two to see the wonders of osmanthus in full bloom.

Locals use osmanthus to make osmanthus jujube cakes and osmanthus tea. What attracted me most was a bowl of sweet glutinous rice and osmanthus porridge for breakfast. Wow; Gee ... it's a pity that I forgot to take a picture.

Jian 'ou was once named "Jianzhou". The name "Fujian" comes from Fuzhou and Jianzhou (now Jian 'ou City). It is a county-level city with the largest land area in Fujian Province and the largest population in northern Fujian, with a written history of more than 3,000 years. It is a provincial-level historical and cultural city with a history of 1800 years. What's more, there are 1 154 Jinshi, 6 top scholars and 10 minister of Zaifu, which is one of the top ten Jinshi counties.

The previous understanding of Jian 'ou was limited to Jian 'ou salted duck and Jian 'ou light cake. On this trip, I learned that Jian 'ou is such a county town with cultural heritage. Even Kyle Poirot was here. A.D. 1292 (twenty-nine years from Yuan Dynasty to Yuan Dynasty), the famous Italian traveler Kelpolo stayed in China 17 years later, and set sail for home from Quanzhou, Fujian. This year, he crossed Wuyishan from Hangzhou, Zhejiang and Xinzhou, Jiangxi (now Shangrao City), entered northern Fujian, rode in the mountains for 6 days, and finally came to Jianning House (now Jianou City) in northern Fujian. Jianning was the largest city in northern Fujian at that time. Magnificent city walls, spectacular bridges, bustling streets, rich products, especially beautiful women, all left a beautiful and deep impression on him. The statue of Kyle Polo was specially erected in the local area, and the Kyle Polo Park was established.

Behind the park is Tongxian Gate, one of the four existing ancient city gates in Jian 'ou. The city wall is 8.5 meters high, the arch hole is 4 meters high and the depth is 23.85 meters. The stone tablet above the main entrance is engraved with the words "Tongxianmen" in regular script, which was carved during the reconstruction of Renzi in Qing Qianlong (1792).

Jian 'ou is also one of the most concentrated and abundant covered bridges in northern Fujian. There are 32 covered bridges in the territory, most of which are covered bridges, which still show its role as a transportation hub.

Most importantly, Jian 'ou is rich in gourmet snacks. In addition to the traditional specialty Jian 'ou salted duck and light cakes, this time I also experienced a bowl of soybean milk powder. Locals like to make nutritious breakfast with soybean milk powder. Don't forget to add Jian 'ou's unique red wine as a seasoning to add flavor.

In addition, there are four famous local specialties, such as Alisma orientale, lotus seeds, hydra (commonly known as water spinach everywhere) and fairy grass, which are called "Four Treasures of Jiyang". It is said that during the National Day, many guests made a special trip to taste a set of Jiyang Four Treasures of the Study with a price of 138 yuan. The water spinach here is thick and crisp. The most distinctive is the lotus seed. Fresh lotus seeds are neatly packed in a bowl, poured with crystal sugar water, steamed and covered upside down on a plate. It's sweet, soft and rotten. It's worth tasting if you swallow it and put it in your mouth.

The traffic in Jian 'ou is still convenient. The high-speed train to Fuzhou is less than 1 hour. This is also the intersection of three expressway. To get rich, build roads first. Jian 'ou has development potential. It is said that the root carving city in Minhou, Fuzhou is gradually shifting to Jian 'ou, which is also the root carving capital of China.
