What is the North Building of Peace Hotel?
The North Building was built in 1929, belonging to the Gothic architecture of Chicago School.
Huamao Hotel was built by Alice Victor Sassoon, a wealthy British Jew at that time, so it was also called "Sassoon Building". The outer wall is made of granite and enters through the rotating hall door. The floor of the lobby is paved with ivory Italian marble, and the top bronze carved chandelier is luxurious and elegant, which has the reputation of "the first building in the Far East".
