Our family is planning a self-driving trip to Mount Emei on the third day of the New Year in 2011. How to get there? Do I need to book a hotel?

Choose good weather when going to Mount Emei. We also drove there in December, and it happened to be a rainy day. When we arrived at Jinding, it was raining and foggy. It was like seeing flowers in the mist. It’s not comfortable at all~

On the Chengya Expressway in Shiyangchang, after running for a while, there is a fork in the expressway. Go towards the Chengle Expressway (there are two obvious forks, there are signs~) Get off the expressway at the Leshan exit, and then drive more than ten or twenty kilometers to Mount Emei. (I also used the navigation guide when I got off the expressway, hehe~ But there are signs on the road.)

It is recommended that you find a hotel to stay in on the first day, and climb to the Golden Summit early the next morning. There are numerous hotels from the foot of the mountain to the mountainside, all built by local people themselves. We bargained down to 50 yuan a room, but now the price should go up during the holidays.

The car cannot go up to a place called Zero Kilometer on the mountain, and then you have to take the cableway! The road on the mountain is very smooth, but there are so many curves and large arcs that it is guaranteed to knock your brains out! Mountain roads are difficult to drive in the current rainy and snowy weather. If you think you have good driving skills, you can drive up the mountain by yourself. This way you can control the speed and no one will be thrown out! Otherwise, stop at the bottom of the mountain, and individual travelers can join a group and take a tour bus up!

There are three major hot springs in Mount Emei Scenic Area: Lingxiu Hot Spring, Hongzhu Hot Spring and Yoga Hot Spring~
