1, mining

Africa is rich in mineral resources, especially gold, copper, diamonds, chromium, manganese and high-grade iron ore, which are unparalleled in other parts of the world. China has a large-scale exploration and mining team and corresponding technical equipment, which can make a difference in this land of Africa.

So far, China has conducted geological drilling in 13 African countries. In recent years, the Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources under the Ministry of Land and Resources has carried out prospecting activities in more than a dozen countries, such as Namibia, Ghana and Mali, and gold mining in Ghana has also started. In addition, C? te d 'Ivoire, Congo (DRC) and South Africa are the focus of our mining cooperation.

2. Operate household appliances

Over the years, Philips, Electrolux, Panasonic, Sony and other European and Japanese-made household appliances have a high market share in Africa. However, in recent years, home appliances from China, South Korea, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions are rapidly entering the African market with their price, quality and service advantages, while European and Japanese products monopolize the market.

Due to the overcapacity of home appliances in China and a large backlog of home appliances, many manufacturers compete to reduce prices and compete for the market with low profit and loss prices. Affected by years of price wars, the prices of home appliances such as color TV sets, DVD players and microwave ovens in China are attractively low.

3. Project contracting

Africa's contracting market has great potential, mainly concentrated in the construction of transportation, electricity and communication facilities, and industrial projects are gradually increasing. Most projects in African countries are funded by international financial institutions.

The price advantage of foreign contracted enterprises in China is gradually disappearing. The cruelty of market competition risk is also forcing our foreign contracting enterprises to think of new tricks and try new methods, constantly sum up experience and seek new ways to open up the market.

4. Leather processing

In recent years, with the sustained economic development and the continuous improvement of living standards, more and more Ugandans have begun to pay attention to dressing up, and the demand for leather products such as leather shoes, purses and belts has increased year by year. It is estimated that if 85% Ugandans buy three pairs of shoes every two years, the annual demand for shoes will reach 6.5438+0.98 million pairs, of which the demand for leather shoes is close to 8 million pairs.

Powerful enterprises in China use domestic advanced technology, equipment and local leather resources for leather processing and leather products production. The processed leather can be sold back to China or exported to the traditional Ukrainian market. Leather products can not only meet the needs of the local market, but also be exported to neighboring countries and other African countries.

5. Cotton mill project

The textile industry is one of the four economic pillars in Mauritius, and its textile exports enjoy preferential treatment such as duty-free. However, in the "Africa Act" which is about to be passed by the US Congress, it is stipulated that only garments processed with raw materials such as cotton yarn and grey cloth produced in Africa can enter the US market duty-free and quota-free.

According to the analysis of China-Africa Trade Research Center, there are many production and processing enterprises in China, and most industries have overcapacity, so we can seize the new historical opportunity of African economic development and actively explore the African market. In addition to the above projects, household appliances processing and assembly, rice development projects and textile printing and dyeing projects also have considerable potential.
