What is the fuel oil used in hotels?

There are many types of fuel oil used in hotels. Here are five types: coal gas, natural gas, environmentally friendly oil, alcohol-free fuel, vegetable oil fuel, etc.

1. Coal gas

It is a gas containing combustible components produced by processing coal as raw material. According to the processing method, gas properties and uses, it is divided into: water gas, semi-water gas, and air gas (or generator gas) obtained from coal gasification. The calorific value of these gases is low, so they are collectively called low calorific value gases; the gas obtained by coking in the coal carbonization method is called coke oven gas. It belongs to medium calorific value gas and can be used as civil fuel in cities.

2. Natural gas

It refers to all gases naturally occurring in nature, including gases formed by various natural processes in the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere. The commonly used definition of "natural gas" for a long time is a narrow definition from an energy perspective, which refers to a mixture of hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon gases naturally contained in the formation.

3. Environmentally friendly oil

It is a kind of high-efficiency energy-saving oil and a new type of energy developed by research and development. It adds calorific value enhancers, modifiers, and combustion aids according to a certain proportion. It is formulated with agents, oxidants, stabilizers, smoke suppressants, flavoring agents, etc. It has the characteristics of stable heat, sufficient combustion, high safety, no black smoke and no odor when burning, which is beneficial to the health of kitchen personnel and the cleanliness of the kitchen environment.

It has the advantages of being cheap, clean, safe, and rich in raw material resources. It can be stored, transported, and used under normal temperature and pressure. It does not require high-pressure cylinder storage and can be stored in ordinary metal or plastic containers.

4. Alcohol-free fuel

Does not contain methanol, replaces liquefied gas, natural gas, coal, alcohol-based fuels, and is used in hotels, canteens, restaurants and other places, which is more energy-saving and more environmentally friendly. Environmentally friendly, smoke-free, odorless and dust-free.

5. Vegetable oil fuel

The main raw materials are animal oil (tallow, lard, etc.), vegetable oil (soybean oil, palm oil, etc.), gutter oil, etc. through fat reaction It is a new type of environmentally friendly and energy-saving fuel that has been refined. It has the advantages of high calorific value and resistance to burning. One kilogram of plants can be worth more than three kilograms of environmentally friendly oil.

Introduction to fuel oil

The properties of fuel oil mainly depend on the nature of crude oil and processing methods. The main specifications that determine the quality of fuel oil include viscosity (Viscosity) and sulfur content (SulfurContent) , pour point (PourPoint) and other fuel oils used in power plants, etc. also have regulations on the content of vanadium (Vanadium) and sodium (Sodium).

Most petroleum products can be used as fuel, but fuel oil has different interpretations in different regions. The European concept of fuel oil generally refers to the black viscous residue left by the distillation of crude oil, or its blend with lighter components. It is mainly used as fuel for steam furnaces and various heating furnaces or as a large slow-burning oil. Fast diesel fuel and used as various industrial fuels.

But in the United States, it refers to any flammable liquid or liquefiable petroleum product with a flash point of not less than 37.8°C. It can be either residual fuel oil (ResidualFuelOil, also known as HeavyFuelOil) or distillate HeatingOil. Distillate fuel oil can not only be obtained directly from distilled crude oil (ie, straight-run distillate), but can also be obtained by distillation from other processing processes such as cracking.
