It stands on the plains of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the banks of Poyang Lake. It is about 25 kilometers long and 10 kilometers wide. The main peak is Hanyang Peak, with an altitude of 1474 rice. The mountain is oval in shape and is a typical horst type fault block mountain.
