Nordic wind only knows IKEA? See what brands Norwegians buy.
Although Norway borders Sweden, its furniture design style is deeply influenced by Denmark. Now the classic balance chair, growth chair, riding chair, etc. All from the hands of Norwegians.
In the past 20 years, Norwegian design has not lost to Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

What is the home of Norwegians living in such a design culture?
The case I shared with you today is a family of three from Oslo, Norway.
Classic Nordic furniture and light colors can be seen everywhere, which will definitely make you sigh: this is the real Nordic style!
Housing information
Oslo, Norway
Owner Edith, husband Ole and 2-year-old daughter.
Area 150m2 (two floors)
Stay time 1 year (own)
In recent years, it has become increasingly difficult to find a favorite house in the center of Oslo. Therefore, despite the disrepair of this two-story townhouse, Edith's family is determined to buy it and give their daughter a good room for growth.
Tear off the "antique-grade" wallpaper of the 1970s, replace it with comfortable light-colored wooden floors, and then move into various classic models purchased by husband and wife, which is the clean, fashionable, warm and chic home you see now.
Entrance. Entrance?
As soon as you enter the door, the mini shoes and hats area near the door attracts people.
Shoe racks and hangers come from Danish brands Norman Copenhagen and Vitera, and they are also very popular in China.
Furniture itself restricts the use of modeling and color, and expresses vivid colors through daily necessities. The Nordic concept of home collocation can be seen in this corner of the porch.
Deep in the hall, I made an indomitable locker. They painted the porch closet in the same blue tone as the Stool 60 stool from Finland, echoing the design and color of the corridor carpet. ?
Through the hall, I found the living room so transparent! Although the width of the corridor is only about 1 m, it is not dim because of the good view in front. ?
Instead of wasting the corridor in a corner in the middle of the living room, they put a pedal piano.
The piano stool has an elegant round base. It comes from 1960s, when the tulip chair designed by Arrow Sha Lining was very popular in Northern Europe.
sitting room
Go to the living room and can't wait to see the oasis outside! Although Oslo has a small population, it is a luxury to have a backyard in the urban area with an inch of land.
There are apples, cherries and plum trees among raspberries and gooseberries.
Edith, the hostess, is a lover of Nordic classic design. Both she and her husband like Nordic classical furniture in the mid-20th century. A slightly retro Scandinavian style is the theme of this family. ?
On the living room side of the dining table, it is simply a peerless beauty in the whole house! Classic Ames rocking chair, AJ floor lamp and Tom Dixon hollow candlestick, their warm colors are in harmony with the cool blue-green background colors. ?
The edge listed in No.3 comes from Habitat, a brand called "IKEA France".
The headrest next to the rocking chair was bought by the whole family when they traveled to Morocco.
The dining table and chairs cleverly echo the theme color of the living room. Edith's parents are in Raster &; Bambi series purchased by Relling Store was born in 1954.
The sense of time of furniture seems to give this family an interesting soul. White Scandinavian walls with blue, gray and nude colors make life particularly fulfilling. ?
Vitera wall clock. ?
Ikea's best-selling storage rack is called open storage rack series, which affects people's storage methods. It has three characteristics.
Jieldé floor lamp exudes personalized metal lines, reflecting the modern style in the middle of the century.
kitchen
In the spacious kitchen, the cabinets customized by IKEA contain all the clutter in the kitchen. ?
The cabinet is fully covered from top to bottom to avoid dust entry, and the overall visual effect is perfect!
The material of the table top is marble. Although Edith knows that marble countertops are very troublesome to take care of (if stains are not cleaned in time, marble is easy to get dirty), it is worthwhile to do more housework for the sake of face value! ?
The wall is made of oil-resistant fabric with imitation stone texture as baffle. When friends went to the kitchen, they found that they couldn't take their eyes off such a beautiful wall.
If you like Nordic household goods, you may have heard of it-UTEN. Silo, Vitera's most famous wall frame. It's hanging on the wall on one side of the countertop.
The seemingly simple small dining area is also very particular. Hans wegner's Y chair was inspired by China's round-backed armchair, which was also the legacy of Edith's grandmother. It was Norway's favorite chair in the 1950s, and now it has served four generations!
Baby Tripp Trapp chair is a classic chair for almost every Norwegian family with children. It can even meet the needs of children for a lifetime and is very practical. Tripp Trapp chairs claim to last a lifetime.

The slogan on the wall "Cheer for Saul" means "Cheer for the sunshine". Because this small dining area is where the whole family can enjoy breakfast.
stairway
Stepping up the stairs, the staircase design is simple and exquisite.
"Sometimes when I look at the stairs, I can imagine that the baby is growing up a little bit and his feet are banging downstairs." Edith told us.

My hand slides on the beautiful circular railing, and I can hear the squeak of this old escalator.
Master BedRoom
Welcome to the master bedroom on the second floor! The couple like plywood, so DIY made a headboard full of natural flavor.
Walking to the small balcony, you can see the luxurious big yard in the backyard. The scenery here is the best all year round.
Children's room?
This is daughter Ebba's future room. The small sofa is the old furniture left by the previous landlord. Edith's mother-in-law has customized the cloth again, and the baby can see grandma's thoughts every day.
There is a red Pantone chair at the door of the room, and Ebba can perceive the classic design from an early age.
Ebba's wardrobe occupies a part of the master bedroom, and the cupboard door is painted with blackboard paint by witty parents for the baby to scribble.
lavatory
There are no windows in the small bathroom on the first floor and the big bathroom on the second floor, so white is the main color of all bathrooms.

Guest room?
The small room next to the bedroom was temporarily separated into a guest room, full of bright yellow and orange.
Study?
Another big thing left by grandparents, the desk, was put in the smallest room, which became a good place to study and do things.
