How to arrange itineraries in Suzhou, Wuzhen, Hangzhou and Shanghai?
I am from Hangzhou, and Suzhou happens to be my hometown. I have been to Wuzhen Shanghai many times. hehe. First of all, there is indeed a problem with your route. Starting from Shijiazhuang, that is the north, so the order should be: Shanghai-Suzhou-Wuzhen-Hangzhou-Shijiazhuang. Or actually it’s best to go: Shanghai-Suzhou-Hangzhou-Wuzhen-Hangzhou-Shijiazhuang. Because Wuzhen is actually the closest to Hangzhou, only 60 kilometers away. It is also very convenient to get there from Hangzhou. It only takes one hour to take a long-distance bus from the Passenger Transport Center Station. So you can go to Hangzhou first, settle down in your accommodation, go to Wuzhen lightly, then go back to Hangzhou in the evening, and visit Hangzhou again in the evening and the next day. But if you want to stay in Wuzhen for one night, that’s a different matter. However, Wuzhen is actually very small and one day is enough, unless you want to see the night view. Let’s talk about it in order.
Shanghai is nothing more than an economic metropolis. There is really nothing interesting about it. It is just the World Expo at the moment. In addition, you can visit Lujiazui on the Bund, Chenghuang Temple District, Xintiandi, etc. There are also Huaihai Road, Nanjing Road (not recommended, they are all large shopping malls), Jing'an Pavilion, People's Square and other places where you can go shopping. Nothing more.
Suzhou, my favorite hometown, is small and exquisite, and the old town has good taste. The most important thing is the gardens. Tiger Hill and Humble Administrator’s Garden are so famous that I won’t introduce them here. There are other places to visit such as Hanshan Temple, Guanqian Street, Stone Road, etc. For meals, go to Deyue Tower or Songhe Tower, which are famous old restaurants. For snacks, you can go to the Luyang Wonton Shop, which is delicious. Of course it depends on personal taste. It’s great to travel to the east and west mountains, including Taihu Lake, but you don’t have time.
Hangzhou, let me correct you first: "You can take a boat in the morning (you can take a boat there in the past). If not, you can rent a car and go around the West Lake. 300 yuan is a bit expensive!" Haha, Lou I am also very enthusiastic, but I don’t know when I came to Hangzhou. 1. There are boats available at West Lake at any time (except midnight), not just in the morning. 2. I don’t know what kind of car they are referring to. If it’s a bicycle, 300 is the deposit, and it will be returned to you in the end. It only charges a few hours’ rent. How can it be said to be “expensive”? Besides, there are very few private bicycle rentals now. Government-owned bicycle rental has been widely implemented in Hangzhou for several years. You can apply for a rental card at Wushan Square and Longxiang Bridge. You need to put in 300 to get the card. Yuan, of which 200 is considered a deposit, 100 is automatically deducted from the hourly rent, and it is basically free within 1 hour, 3 Yuan for 2 hours, and about 5 Yuan per hour for more than 3 hours, which is very cheap. And you can return the card when you leave, and all the remaining money will be refunded to you. There are many car rental and return points, especially in the city center and scenic spots, which are very convenient. In addition, Hangzhou not only has the West Lake Scenic Area, but also has many large scenic spots. And even if it's just the West Lake, it's not just a lake. There are dozens of surrounding attractions. The ones mentioned above are basically just some of the attractions around the West Lake. In addition to the West Lake, there are many scenic spots such as Lingyin Scenic Area, Meijiawu, Longjing, Yunqi Bamboo Trail, Manjuelong, Qiantang River Liuhe Pagoda, Jiuxi Shibajian, Xixi Wetland National Park, etc., and they are all in Hangzhou. There are buses within the area that can be reached. Hangzhou basically has scenery in the city and the city in the scenery, which is relatively natural. But LZ, if you only have one day in Hangzhou, it is impossible to go there. You can only visit around West Lake. It usually takes at least 3 days to come to Hangzhou, and these scenic spots can only be visited selectively. The most famous places to eat in Hangzhou are Louwailou and Zhiweiguan, both of which are over a century old, but a bit expensive. If you want to eat snacks, go to the first floor of Zhiweiguan's main store. They are all Hangzhou snacks. There are many, and they are relatively affordable, right on the lakeside. If you want to eat stir-fried dishes that are affordable and delicious, go to Grandma’s House and Xinbailu. You have to go early, otherwise you won’t get a seat. You can buy Longjing tea at tea farmers' homes in Longjing or Meijiawu, but it is recommended that people who don't know better should not buy it there. It is better to buy the packaged and grade-marked tea in regular shopping malls. Although it may be a little more expensive, it is better. At least you don't need to identify it yourself.
Wuzhen, a small town in the south of the Yangtze River that has rapidly heated up in recent years. It tastes good. I've been there many times because it's relatively close, but I always go there during non-peak tourist seasons, which makes it feel better. During the peak season, there are two disadvantages: there are many people and the business atmosphere is strong.
But it’s good to see. The main thing is to experience the flavor of the ancient town, not to see any attractions. On the contrary, most of those attractions are just for the purpose of attracting tourists, which is relatively blunt. Only Mao Dun's former residence is okay, as is the study. The tickets are quite dark and cost more than 200 for a combined East-West Gate ticket. For accommodation, it is recommended that you stay in a local B&B instead of the hotel operator.
I won’t introduce amusement parks, they are all available in Suzhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai. I don’t think LZ will waste his time in amusement parks.
Speaking of accommodation, there are many high-end star hotels near West Lake in Hangzhou. If you want to be economical and relatively good, there are some economic chain hotels. They will not be near the West Lake, but many are not far from the West Lake, such as Jinjiang Inn Hubin Branch, West Lake Avenue Branch, Orange Hotel, Pudding, Hanting Express, Home Express, 7 days, etc. In fact, Suzhou and Shanghai are similar, just look for these budget hotels.
There is nothing else to pay attention to. The Yangtze River Delta is one of the most developed and well-publicized areas in the country, so of course you have to be careful. Recently, I have been paying attention to preventing heatstroke and preparing some cooling oil, umbrellas, etc.
If there’s anything else, Q will send you an on-site text message.
