The best time to travel to Tangyu Island in Fujian

The best tourist season to Tangyu Island is between spring and summer, that is, from May to October, of which June and July April and August are the peak tourist seasons here on Tangyu Island. The coastline of Tangyu Island is more than 1,000 meters, and the sea water here is very clear. The beach here is a natural crescent-shaped beach. Tangyu Island is very close to Hsinchu County in Taiwan, and it is also the closest place to Taiwan on the mainland. There are many unique B&Bs and hotels on Tangyu Island, as well as a lot of delicious food, so you don’t have to worry about food and accommodation.

There is a very large stone statue here on Tangyu Island, which is also the most iconic attraction on Tangyu Island. The shape of this stone statue is very strange. In addition, the volume of this stone statue Aling is more than four times that of the Leshan Giant Buddha. This stone statue is called the Altar of Poseidon. There are also many swings built on the beach by the sea. You can sit on the swing and enjoy the beauty of the sea.

Travel Guide

Type 1: Take the high-speed rail to Pingtan, then take the shuttle bus from Pingtan Bus Station to Weifen Pier. It takes about half an hour to get there. The fare is 8 yuan per person. There are three ferries to Tangyu Island from Dafenwei Pier every day, at 9:10, 10:30 and 14:00. The journey takes about an hour and the fare is 20 yuan per person.

Second option: You can take a shuttle bus from Fuqing Passenger Transport Center to Wokou Ferry, which is an hour away. The fare is 8 yuan, and you can take a boat to Tangyu Island at Wokou Ferry. The fare is 20 yuan per person and can be reached in half an hour.

Preparation before departure

The sea breeze here on Tangyu Island is very strong. Be sure to prepare a windbreaker and wear comfortable shoes before going out. It is best to bring these slippers with you when you go to the beach on Tangyu Island. Be sure to pay attention to sun protection when going to Tangyu Island in summer.
