Find the information of Chuanlong Island in Pingtan Town, Huidong County, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province

Guangzhou Daily reported that during the Spring Festival, the bridge construction site on Chuanlong Island, a small island in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River on Xizhi River in Pingtan Town, became the most concerned place for villagers during the Spring Festival. With the support of the provincial and Huiyang transportation departments and the local government, the residents have been looking forward to the construction of the island bridge for generations before the Spring Festival. In another six months, when the bridge is completed, the villagers on Chuanlong Island will bid farewell to the ferry that accompanied them in and out for 500 years. And the last village in Huiyang city that depends on ferry access will also become history.

A river is twenty years behind.

Chuanlong Island covers an area of only 3 square kilometers. Xizhijiang, which flows westward, is divided into two parts in the east of the island, tightly surrounding the island and merging into one in the west of the island. At present, the Chuanlong Village Committee is located on the island and has jurisdiction over more than 2,300 villagers including Lu, Wu, Xu, Xiang and Xu. Chuanlong people have been farming for generations, but they are short of water on islands surrounded by water. The cultivated land is only 133.3 hectares, and the paddy field is only 16.7 hectares. According to the old people on the island, when their ancestors settled on the island 500 years ago, they always crossed the river in a small wooden boat to communicate with the outside world. Today, 500 years have passed, and in the long years, Chuanlong people still rely on small wooden boats to get in and out. The difference is that diesel engines have replaced penny paddles in those days.

There is no bridge to add a lot of trouble to Chuanlong people. Although it is just across the river from Pingtan Weizhen, the excitement of the outside world seems out of reach here. In the words of Xu Bifeng, a group leader in Xu Wu Village, Chuanlong Village is at least 20 years behind Pingtan Wei on the other side. So far, there is no running water in the village. The villagers in the four natural villages all rely on two wells on the island to carry water, and the farthest one has to walk for thousands of meters. There is no cable TV in the village. Fishbone antenna, which can be seen everywhere along the coast in the 1970s, is still a landscape in the village, but it can only receive TV programs from CCTV 1 and Zhujiang Satellite TV, and it is often "snowflake fluttering" without color. When villagers build houses, all building materials have to be transported across the river by small ferry. A 0. 15 yuan red brick outside the island is 50 cents more expensive to transport to the island. When villagers buy tractors, they have to unload eight pieces and transport them to the island. At present, there are only two walking tractors and several motorcycles on the island, and no water and mud roads have been built. Most natural villages communicate through winding paths.

Chuanlong people can't leave the boat every day, but they love and are afraid. One morning last summer, the turbulent Xizhijiang suddenly widened the river to more than 100 meters. As usual, more than 30 adults and children working and driving the Expo crowded on the small ferry and returned to the island, but when the boat reached Jiangxin's diesel engine, it caught fire. No matter how hard the boatman tried, it didn't help. The lost power ferry rushed downstream like a runaway wild horse, and there were dangers all the way, and the last few fishing boats. Historically, it is not uncommon for Chuanlong people to cross the river and die in the belly of fish.

There is still a gap of 6.5438+0.5 million in bridge construction.

Building a strong bridge has become the dream of generations of Chuanlong people. In the early 1990s, the construction of the bridge was formally put on the agenda of Chuanlong people. Although it was prepared for 10 years, it ran aground due to lack of funds. Last year, a blueprint of a reinforced concrete bridge with a length of 1.84 m and a width of 8 m was released, with a total cost of 3.75 million yuan. Provincial, municipal and county transportation departments raised funds for the bridge 1 10,000 yuan. As soon as the news came out, Chuanlong people cheered and gave generously, raising millions of yuan at once, which enabled the bridge to start smoothly. Xu, the branch secretary of Chuanlong Village, told reporters that building a bridge is a tough battle to "liberate" Chuanlong traffic. Although the fund for building the bridge is still short of 1.5 million yuan, they will try their best to raise funds to make the bridge open to traffic as planned. (Reporter Ye Ye)
