Fighting circle has always been a small circle in China. China people love it far less than football, basketball and other ball games. Most people's understanding of fighting only stays in the simple concept of fighting. I know nothing about Sanda, free fighting and mixed fighting, and I don't even know what UFC and MMA are. So, I've always wanted to write a little popular science. I'll talk about these differences from an amateur's point of view, which I often hear but don't know how to distinguish.

1. Boxing

Boxing is a relatively simple high-intensity confrontation project with a long history. Many friends who don't know boxing think boxing is very common, because they can't kick or kick, but in fact boxing is the most exquisite high-level event in standing fighting, because only punches are allowed in the rules. Therefore, boxing relies on seemingly simple boxing methods such as straight boxing, hook boxing and swing boxing, and evolved into unpredictable combination boxing. At the same time, the core technology of boxing is its distance control. A good boxer can swing in front of your eyes, but you can't hit him. Flexible pace and exquisite combination boxing make boxing attract a large number of audience's attention.

The world's top professional boxing competition is second to none in sports. Many people may ask, if you can't kick, won't you suffer if you encounter a bad leg in actual combat? It is true that the fist is sharp, but the lack of leg blessing is indeed the weakness of the boxer. But friends who have fought in actual combat will know that good leg skills are based on fist suppression, that is to say, when you are suppressed by the opponent's combination boxing, you will find that kicking is not an easy task, only fists.

This is also a common situation in some standing fighting competitions (free fighting, Sanda, etc.). In addition, in street unarmed combat, the winner is the fist, because it is easy to lose your leg in street combat, and rising your leg means that your center of gravity is unstable, and once you fall, you will be very passive. Therefore, the distance control of boxing and sharp combination boxing is very effective in street fighting, and it is rare to achieve one-to-many fighting skills with bare hands in enough space (the author opposes fighting, street fighting is not desirable, and readers should not learn from fist fight).

Boxing is the most classic traditional antagonistic event. Over the years, so many great champions have been born that even outsiders are familiar with them, so I won't list them here.

Summary:

Events: WBA, WBC, IBF, etc.

Key words: distance control, sharp fist and flexible footwork.

Restraint: Any attack other than boxing is prohibited.

Step 2 kick boxing

The word "free fight" is the Chinese translation of Kick Boxing, which is actually not accurate enough. Personally, I think the Chinese literal translation of kicking boxing is more accurate, that is, "kicking boxing", as its name implies, can be used as boxing, but the word "free fighting" often makes people feel that it is an unlimited and irregular fighting. This understanding is far from reality, because the rules of this event are not free, it

The history of free fighting is not long, but it develops rapidly. Its smooth combination of fist and fist quickly commercialized the sport and attracted a large number of outstanding boxers. Its boxing method is the same as boxing. On this basis, leg sweeping and forward kicking are added, which requires boxers to have good hand-foot coordination ability. The combination of fist and fist, hitting and laying, and X-cross attack are the charm of free fighting. In the golden age of K- 1, a group of free fighting superstars shined and contributed to many classic competitions.

Among them, Bo Qiu, the prince of Muay Thai, and Masanori, a famous Japanese player, had two wonderful confrontations, which showed us the lethality of Bo Qiu at its peak and was deeply impressed by Masanori's amazing willpower and toughness.

Summary:

Events: The domestic includes Wulin Wind, Kunlun Decision and Warriors' Glory; Foreign countries have the glory of Europe, Japan's K- 1.

Key words: combination of fist and leg, X-style play.

Limitations: pure standing, no elbow, no continuous knees, no active wrestling.

3. Sanda

Sanda is a local fighting skill in China, and it is also a fighting skill that can truly reflect "China Kung Fu". At least from the immediate point of view, China Sanda is far more practical than Taiji Wing Chun Bagua Palm, and Sanda pays attention to "kicking far and hitting near and falling near", because there are more wrestling methods, so the practical techniques are more comprehensive. After the improvement, the boxing method of Sanda is the same as that of boxing, that is, straight boxing, swing boxing and hook boxing, in addition to which there is a very difficult whip-turning boxing. Sanda's leg methods include kicking, kicking, side kicking, turning and swinging, turning and side kicking, etc.

In addition, Sanda has a series of wrestling methods, such as holding two legs in front of the head, pulling the leg with one leg, holding the leg with one leg and breaking the leg with the other. It can be said that Sanda's attack and defense technology is very comprehensive and very suitable for self-defense fighting technology.

There are often articles and videos comparing Sanda and Muay Thai on the Internet. Both of them have their own rules, and they are top-notch under their own rules. But Sanda players and Muay Thai fighters play the rules of free fighting. Why do players from Muay Thai have a high winning rate? This is not to say that Sanda is not as powerful as Muay Thai, it can only be said that it is the product of rules. Under the rules of Sanda, the main spell is points, so you can see the fast pace of Sanda, two people fast forward and fast out, and the speed of fist competition is dazzling. However, Muay Thai is committed to knocking down opponents, with a slow pace but a stronger penetration in each attack.

At the same time, under such rules, the bone density and fighting ability of Muay Thai players are also extremely strong, which leads to the fact that the players from Sanda and Muay Thai are not inferior in technical field during wartime, and the opening often suppresses each other. However, with the decline of physical fitness, after being slowly ground by the other side, the body can't bear the tough sweeping and kicking of the other side, and the disadvantage comes out. So on the technical level, Sanda is not weak, but the different rules lead to the differences of the players themselves.

Summary:

Key words: far kick, close fight, close fall, comprehensive technique.

Restrictions: Knee and elbow attacks are not allowed.

4.muay Thai

Muay Thai is known as the strongest fighting skill and has a high degree of internationalization. It has developed into the popularity of "Muay Thai originated in Thailand and belongs to the world", and even other branches such as European Muay Thai have appeared. Muay Thai is called the strongest standing combat because its attack points include fist, legs, knees and elbows, among which knees and elbows are extremely lethal, especially elbows are like knives, and they are often hit on the head by elbows (refer to the game of Bo Qiu vs tyrant). The author watched a live Muay Thai match in Lumpini, Bangkok on October 20/7, and had to admit that the fighting ability of Muay Thai players was excellent.

The leg methods of Muay Thai are mainly sweeping kick and front kick, among which front kick is different from Sanda. Sanda requires heel force, and Muay Thai requires forefoot force, each with its own significance, so I won't go into details. There are similarities between the sweeping leg of Muay Thai and the whipping leg of Sanda, both of which need to turn their feet and hips, but there are also obvious differences in technology. Sanda's whip leg requires quick release and quick collection, and the calf is ejected like a whip, and it can be restored to its original position after ejection. But the sweeping leg of Muay Thai is centered on the hip, and the whole leg is outward. The potential is heavy, and the whole person will turn around when kicking empty. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages, and the author can elaborate them separately in the later period.

The rhythm of Muay Thai is relatively slow in standing fighting. Muay Thai players like to control the field slowly, suppress it, and then knock it down with their fists, so it is very difficult in the ring. But as far as street fighting is concerned, the footwork and technical characteristics of Muay Thai are not outstanding, and it has certain disadvantages compared with boxing and Sanda. Muay Thai has a number of outstanding stars, including the most popular Bo Qiu, magician Wang Shancai, computer boxer Yasen Klee and so on.

Summary:

Key words: heavy punching, knee and elbow killing, anti-strike requirement, slow rhythm, field control, suppression.

5. mixed fighting

Mixed martial arts, also called MMA, is the abbreviation of English mixed martial arts. It is different from other competitions. It is a real random free fighting competition. However, irregularity does not mean that players can do everything they can, and will still limit those means that bring irreversible harm to people, such as cutting forks, inserting eyes and hitting the back of the head. The so-called nonstandard means that fighters are not restricted.

Even if you like it, you can use traditional martial arts such as Taiji, Wing Chun, Bagua Palm and Tongbei Boxing. Therefore, comprehensive fighting is a fighting project in which a hundred schools of thought contend and a hundred flowers blossom, and it is also the touchstone to verify the actual combat level of advocating one's own genre. At the end of last century, UFC, the world's largest mma event organizer, introduced The Gracie Family's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu into the octagonal cage. At that time, the octagonal cage was still a scuffle between major schools, and as a result, The Gracie Family dominated the pack by his own efforts.

The Gracie Family excels in an octagonal cage with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. After years of survival of the fittest, big waves wash sand. In today's octagonal cage, an excellent player needs skills including: boxing (boxing), leg technique (Muay Thai, free fighting, Sanda), wrestling (wrestling) and ground technique (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). As long as you master the fighting skills that can win the game, you can use them and other boxers will learn to follow suit. This is the case.

Some people say that Bruce Lee is the father of MMA, not because Bruce Lee founded MMA, but because Bruce Lee put forward earlier that the strongest fighting skill is to break sects and knock down opponents in the shortest time. So Bruce Lee's fame lies not in his fighting ability, but more in his thoughts. Therefore, MMA's actual combat ability is very strong, and its rules require players not to have obvious shortcomings, otherwise they will not be able to walk in the octagonal cage for long.

Summary:

Key words: unlimited skills, standing+falling, strong practicality.

Mainstream event: UFC.
