Horizon Grassland Wulagai: Four-day Travel Notes of Grassland Stone Forest (1)

Affected by many factors, I can't travel far this summer, but my mood is difficult to calm down because of the poetry and swaying fields in the distance. After weighing several times, I decided to wander in the northern prairie for a few days to comfort the soul in troubled times. So, on the morning of August 9, I went south lightly, with no destination, just heading for the prairie.

Day 1: Chaoyang-Bayin Hushuo Town (685km)

After breakfast at seven o'clock in the morning, Chaoyang west gets on Danxi Expressway, Chifeng west gets off Expressway, and then continues to drive along G306 and goes straight to Xiwuzhumuqin Banner. After passing through the inter-provincial channel, the road condition of National Highway 306 improved and became a quasi-high-speed level. Galloping all the way and arriving at Xiwuzhumuqin Banner at 2 pm. As it is still early, I decided to continue to visit Bayinhushuo Town, the capital of Wulagai Management District, and see the Wulagai Prairie.

Xiwuzhumuqin Banner is about 200 kilometers away from Bayin Hu Shuo Town. You need to go to 207 national highway and then transfer to Provincial Highway 206. After entering the depths of Xilin Gol prairie, the road conditions are good and the scenery is good. At four o'clock in the afternoon, I arrived at Bayinhushuo Town and checked into an online hotel (169 yuan). After a short rest, go out for food.

Bayin Hushuo Town is small in area, but its tourist facilities are quite mature, with many hotels and convenient dining. One beef stew with potatoes, one fried tomato strip and two medium bowls of rice are not bad, 80 yuan.

After dinner, it was still early, so I drove to Blinquan scenic spot 9 kilometers away.

Bulinquan Scenic Area, named after Lin Bu Spring. In 20 13, the film Wolf Totem, directed by French director jean jacques annaud and starring William Feng and Shawn Dou, was filmed here.

After arriving at the gate of the scenic spot, it coincided with the sunset at Xishan Head, and the afterglow of the sunset dyed the whole grassland yellow, which was beautiful.

Next, we will popularize science about the Wulagai Prairie. Wulagai Management Zone is located in the northeast of Xilin Gol League in Inner Mongolia, bordering on Huolinguole City, a "prairie coal city" in the south and Aershan City, a "hot spring resort" in the northeast. It belongs to Xilin Gol League and exercises county-level administrative power, with a total land area of 50 13 square kilometers. At present, it administers three agricultural pastures, namely Halagaitu, Wulagai and Hesgewula, and Bayinhushuo Town (where the administrative committee is located). Because most areas in the Wulagai management area belong to grassland landforms, everyone habitually calls them "Wulagai Prairie". Wulagai grassland is dominated by typical grassland and belongs to the transition zone from forest grassland to typical grassland. It is the best preserved natural grassland in the world, so it has the reputation of "horizon grassland".

20 13 When I was in go on road trip, Hulunbeier, I once went to Aershan through Wulagai grassland and was deeply attracted by the beautiful scenery here. This summer, influenced by the feeling of revisiting some old places, I came to Wulagai grassland again.

Wulagai grass is named after the Wulagai River. Wulagai River, called Wulagaigor in Mongolian, originates from Bogda Mountain on the west side of Daxinganling, and forms Wulagai Reservoir and Hesgewula Reservoir in the middle and upper reaches.

According to the guide map above, we drove 130 kilometers, and after a long sand road, we came to Wulagai River. Because the river is knee-high and the current is fast, the car can't wade across the river, so it has to go back the same way.

However, travel is like this, and it is precisely because of the tips of the guide map that we can feel the great beauty of the Wulagai River at close range. Therefore, even if you take a long detour, it is worthwhile to go back the same way.

Jiuqu Bay Scenic Area is the most famous scenic spot in Wulagai. Because after entering the scenic spot, you can see the winding Wulagai River from a height. But in fact, the scenic spot just circled the hillside where you can see the winding river, and then asked for more than 200 yuan. Yes, many tourists leave according to the signs.

Going out to travel is to take a different road and see different scenery; Is to put aside the trivial things in the market and change your mood. Wulagai grassland is full of beautiful scenery and surprises, which can give people such satisfaction.
