Gansu, a small city, was once valued by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, but now it is not well-known but very original.

Gansu province has a vast territory, rich resources and extremely rich tourism resources, from the northwest to the city of beef noodles-Lanzhou Lamian Noodles to Dunhuang, the city of grottoes; From Jin Zhangye, which is located in the south of the Yangtze River, to Jiayuguan, which is the first pass in the world, I can say that every quaint city surprises me, but to say which city I like best, Wuwei, which is located in the Hexi Corridor, must be one of them.

Look at the map of Gansu and you will know that this is a city located at the eastern end of Hexi Corridor. Although it was once highly valued by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, it was also an important town on the ancient Silk Road in history. However, in the process of modernization, Wuwei is only a five-tier city, so it seems quaint.

Perhaps it is because of this primitive taste that Wuwei, Gansu Province has a somewhat original flavor. Moreover, Wuwei has been rich in humanities since ancient times. It was once the ancient capital of Wuliang and the capital of Xixia, and many rich relics can still be seen today.

I like to go to the Confucius Temple in downtown Wuwei. Maybe most buildings collapsed because of the earthquake. Today, the Confucius Temple is the best preserved building in this city.

In the Confucian Temple, you can not only see the ancient buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, but also see the plaques preserved so far in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China. Lingxingmen, preserved to this day in the Ming Dynasty, shows the Ming-style wooden archway. The main entrance of the Confucian Temple has not been opened because Wuwei has not won the top prize for hundreds of years. The statues and stone carvings of Liangzhou period unearthed from Tiantai Mountain Grottoes can also be seen in the east and west halls, which makes the Wuwei Confucian Temple look more quaint.

Next to the Confucian Temple, you can also see the Xixia Museum, which is rare in China. There are many cultural relics of Xixia period here, including utensils and silk. Of course, the most important thing to miss is the national treasure Xixia tablet, which is said to be the only one in the country that preserves Xixia characters and Chinese characters most completely. These cultural relics witnessed the history of Wuwei as the capital of Xixia, and also showed the glory and glory of Wuwei.

Of course, an important point in the history of Wuwei is that during Liangzhou period, Lu Guang once imprisoned Kumarajiva here. Kumarajiva did not become passive because of this fate, but began to preach in Liangzhou, which became an important moment for China Buddhism to spread to the east.

Today, there is still a Kumarajiva Tower in Wuwei North Street, which is listed as a national key cultural protection unit. Some buildings around the ancient pagoda have been restored and become a scenic spot of Luosi Temple. The falling stone pagoda, which was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, was once the place where Kumarajiva, a monk, preached dharma. Now it has become the only Buddhist temple in the world named after the founder of Roshta. When I walk here, I can still feel the atmosphere of death in that religion.

Further north along North Street, you can also see the most famous scenic spot in Wuwei City-Leitai Han Tomb. When it comes to Leitai Han Tomb, many people may not know it, but when it comes to flying swallows or bronze galloping horses, everyone may not be unfamiliar. In fact, this cultural relic of online celebrities was unearthed in Leitai Han Tomb. Today, Leitai Han Tomb has become a large-scale scenic spot through restoration.

Generally speaking, there are not many ancient cultural relics in Leitai Han Tomb. The huge flying swallow riding sculpture at the entrance, and the sculptures of horses and soldiers in the square were all restored in the later period. However, many ancient cultural relics, such as Leizu Hall, Samsung Doum Hall and Tomb No.1, which are preserved behind the square, still make it look a little more quaint.
