Taiwan or Hong Kong, which one do you prefer?
These are two completely different places, it depends on what you use as a comparison.
Movies and music, I definitely prefer Hong Kong. Cantonese songs are still my favorite, and Hong Kong movies are also an indispensable part of my memory.
As far as the city itself is concerned, Hong Kong is prosperous, avant-garde, and fashionable, while Taiwan is more tranquil, passionate, and traditional. In terms of natural scenery, Hong Kong is definitely not as good as Taiwan. After all, Taiwan is also a treasure island, so there is no need to discuss this natural advantage. If I had to say I like it, I would probably choose Taiwan, mainly because of the “people”. Because in Taiwan you will not feel like an outsider, but can easily integrate into their lives.
I think it is precisely because of Hong Kong's modernization and coastal port cities that it has created a fast-paced life in Hong Kong. People seem to have less curiosity and patience for people and things outside. Every time I go to Hong Kong, to be honest, I don’t really dare to communicate and chat with Hong Kong people, because I will get cold faces when I am 80 years old (/(ㄒoㄒ)/~~), so every time I go to Hong Kong, I always check the route, buy whatever I want, and then leave. .
The experience of going to Taiwan is completely different. Although my first impression when I first entered Taiwan was: it’s so broken. Even Taipei is very poor. Except for the area around 101, other places are really worse than third-tier cities in mainland China. But it is because of this kind of shackles that the pace of life in Taiwan seems very slow. Everyone is not impatient and very patient. The locals are also very enthusiastic towards tourists. Even if they are angry, you will feel that they are slow. Slowly talk to you, and you won't be cold-eyed or ridiculed. I don't know if the tone of Hokkien is different from Cantonese. In short, in Taiwan, you will be treated very gently.
