First, the creative background

At that time, Du Mu was short of talents. In the late Tang Dynasty when Du Mu lived, Buddhism developed as viciously as the Southern Dynasties. Through the description of spring scenery in the south of the Yangtze River, the poet praised the richness of spring scenery in the south of the Yangtze River, expressed his feelings of rise and fall and his sadness about current affairs, warned the rulers in the late Tang Dynasty not to repeat the same mistakes, and expressed his thoughts of worrying about the country and the people. Feeling melancholy and depressed, I came to Jiangnan to join the mountains and rivers and send my feelings to poetry.
