More than six hours of light

White orchids like plenty of sunshine and are afraid of strong sunshine in summer. If the light is insufficient, the branches and leaves will grow white, the flowering period will be reduced, and the fragrance of flowers will be weak. If you are exposed to strong sunlight, you can easily get sunburned on branches and leaves.

Lighting: The white orchids we bought in June are usually in full bloom. At this time, we need to keep them indoors in Nanyang Terrace, and then shade them properly, so as to avoid strong sunlight and receive more light.

Outdoor white orchids can be kept under the gazebo, or the sunshade net can play a slight shading role, making the flowering period of white orchids longer.

Dry and wet water.

White orchids are neither drought-resistant nor waterlogging-tolerant, so proper attention should be paid when watering. If the soil is dry for a long time, it is easy to shed leaves. If the water accumulates for a long time, it is easy to rot the roots.

Watering: it is best to water the white orchid until it is dry, that is, water it once after two-thirds of the soil is dry, and then loosen the soil when the soil is slightly dry. Because the root system of white orchid belongs to fleshy root, it needs more water. Generally, when we see the leaves of white orchids drooping, we need to water them.

In June, in addition to watering the white orchid, it is also necessary to spray water around the leaves and flowerpots of the white orchid regularly, which can not only reduce the temperature, but also make the leaves of the white orchid cleaner. For flowering white orchids, don't spray water on them to prevent them from rotting. Ventilation should be done well in June, and white orchids should not be kept in a state of high temperature and high humidity, which will lead to pests and diseases.

In the vigorous growth period of white orchids, thin NPK compound fertilizer or decomposed cake fertilizer can be buried every 15 ~ 20 days. The specific method of fertilization is to dig a few small pits at the edge of the white orchid flowerpot, and then put the fertilizer into the soil to water it.
