Will the hotel room records always be there?

Hotels of different grades have hotel accommodation registration records.

There are two ways to keep the listing records: the listing records of small and medium-sized hotels are kept for 5 to 15 days, and the listing records of high-end hotels are kept permanently.

There are two main types of hotel room registration:

One is relatively backward paper registration. It is generally believed that paper hotel registration records need to be kept for 3 years for reference.

From the perspective of financial management, paper should be kept for 15 years as a business voucher, but in fact, hotels and guesthouses without networking are very small, and there are few sound financial systems and professional accounting.

The other is online registration, which is more common in cities. As long as the system memory is large enough, it can basically be saved permanently from a technical point of view.

Usually, when you check in, the hotel or hotel registration information will be automatically backed up to the server of the Public Security Bureau. Backup information including check-in time, check-in number, check-in number and ID card scanning information will be uploaded, which will be permanently saved and never deleted. Of course, this information is also strictly confidential. Unless it is necessary to inquire about the crime, the public security organs are not allowed to provide it, whether it is the company's political review, civil disputes or marital infidelity. As for the hotel surveillance video, the public security organs generally require that it be kept for at least 30 days, otherwise it will be punished by the public security organs.

Legal basis:
